The Bar Towel is proud to present an exclusive information page for Toronto's new beer cuisine restaurant, beerbistro. On this page you will be able to read a bit about beerbistro, download their full beer menu and find details about their upcoming Beer School tasting program.

beerbistro opened in November 2003 and is located at 18 King Street East in downtown Toronto, just steps away from King subway station. Their phone number is (416) 861-9872. beerbistro is being headed by Canadian beer author Stephen Beaumont and chef Brian Morin.

Before we get to the beer menu, first a note from Stephen Beaumont and Brian Morin about the beerbistro...

Toronto's beer scene has changed dramatically over the past two decades, first with the birth of the microbrewery movement, then when a veritable cornucopia of imports landed on our doorstep. With the arrival of new and traditional beer styles from England, Germany and Belgium, and Ontario and Québec, we've discovered that beer comes in a stunning array of colours and flavours, and have embraced the elegant, specialized glassware that enhances our enjoyment of these extraordinary ales and lagers.

The time has come to take the next step.

Welcome to beerbistro!!

We love beer. We love it so much we want to celebrate it: as a quenching refresher; as a soothing restorative; as a matchless accompaniment to food; as a versatile and flavourful ingredient; and as a calming nightcap at the end of a hectic day.

To help you join in the celebration, we've organized our beer list not by country or by style of beer, but by taste. So if you're in the mood for a refreshing brew, check out the 'Quenching' or 'Crisp' sections. If you want a richer ale, try something that's 'Spicy' or 'Bold.' For your last sip of the day, consider a 'Contemplative' lager. And if you're unsure about anything, please ask one of our highly knowledgeable servers or bartenders. They love to talk about beer.

We're all on a voyage of beer discovery. Enjoy. Experiment. And most of all, have fun.

Cheers!

--Stephen Beaumont and Brian Morin
