Thanks, that would have been pretty funny though. I scheduled it in my outlook as Thursday I've just got tomorrow 11am in my head as well for the girlfriends ultrasound. |
Good thing you didn't get those confused! _________________ "What can you say about Pabst Blue Ribbon that Dennis Hopper hasn’t screamed in the middle of an ether binge?" - Jordan St. John |

Yeah but last years was SO much better and... oh wait I haven't had the new one to compare them yet!! Just wanted to be the first to carp and whine, which is I guess the tragically hip thing to do with Imperial Stouts... _________________ In Beerum Veritas "... I'm guessing that when we compare - this years will be hoppy, spicy, and generally a little more hot (there's more booze in it.) and last years' will have more chocolately, espresso, and more mellow smoothy goodnesss.
Both options are great in my opinionation - I did try it at Pints of March, and it did taste quite hoppy and a little spicy, but awesome?
I think what will be interesting is putting a year or so on THESE bottles and comparing them with last years.
I don't know why, and I have no evidence to back this up, but for some reason, I'm guessing these new bottles are going to age very very nicely.
Anyway - It's a great day to release a great beer! Happy Tempest Day! _________________ "What can you say about Pabst Blue Ribbon that Dennis Hopper hasn’t screamed in the middle of an ether binge?" - Jordan St. John |

| Just got back from picking some up. If your going down pick up a six pack, you will get a free bottle from last years release. |

I was there too just after 11, I saw JCC waiting in line and we witnessed a few fallen soldiers that got through the bottom of a cardboard case. An "angel's share" of sorts.

If I went down tonight - would there still be some available? |

I think you got down there just before me, you might have met Jeremy (JCC), I was there about 11:20. I like the idea of a bottle of last year's batch. I do have a few at home, but it is a great idea for comparison. _________________ Malam cerevisiam facieus in cathedram stercoris

Says the man who has someone picking up his beer for him! | I would have no problem with limits being in place even if that meant that it was harder for me to get bottles. Limits help keep hoarding in check. That said, maybe the hoarding phenominon that is so prevalent south of the border hasn't really crept up to Ontario yet. It does seem, for the most part, that people who buy multiple cases of these one-off Ontario releases do so to help other people out. |
