When did brutal bitter become brutal IPA? _________________ Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity. |

I am extremely stoked about this as I really enjoy the Brutal Bitter and will be very pleased to get my hands on it again. Also look forward to the Double Dead Guy and will give all the others a swing as well.
I have really enjoyed many Rogue beers, highlights being: Shakespeare Stout, Brutal Bitter, Yellow Snow IPA, Chocolate Stout, Hazelnut Brown Nector, and Dead Guy Ale.
The LCBO is improving their game. _________________ "Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut. "

Great to see the Brutal, Northwestern, and Double coming. I'll be buying lots of those. Disappointed to see the others selected for this release, as they are among Rogue's lowest-rated and most malt-forward offerings (according to the brewer's descriptions), but the agent and Board obviously believe they will appeal to the hop-averse palate of Joe Average Ontario. I'll still give them a shot - hopefully they'll surprise rather than underwhelm.
Anyone tried and have any thoughts on the Chipotle, Honey, or Morimoto? |

I use to love how they'd list the varieties of malt & hops, but they keep getting more elusive.
Anyone know what they're growing now?

They originally planted Perle, Sterling, Horizon and Centennial. They seem to have added Willamette, and I assume they're growing "Newport" as well...
Are these actual varieties: Revolution, Liberty, Freedom, Rebel and Alluvial? |

| Hopefully a good supply in a large number of outlets, this "in select LCBO stores" always gets me nervous. |

| As I look more and more at this release I realize that there is not a single beer in this list that I will stock up on. I will try them all though. I think they could have done a better job with this release, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. |

What, in your opinion, should they have brought in? Isn't it better, and 'safer' to bring in the middle of the road and known brands, get them selling well, instead of their more obscure stuff, which will only appeal to beer geeks and could quite possibly sit on the shelves for a while? The when they have proven to sell well, to the Powers-That-Be at the LCBO, bring in the bigger stuff? _________________ Beer! |

The Honey is a ho-hum beer which I likely will not buy a single bottle. I loved the chipotle but it isn't something you can drink a lot of. I will likely use it for cooking! _________________ Leafs fans are a special type of sports fan. And by special, I mean pretty gay! |

Never thought of that, I usually throw a bottle of BCS in my chili. How much snap to the Chipotle? |

Most of the "better" options I would have suggested are their stouts or imperial stout, imperial IPA. I also wonder if they were avoiding ones they have sent before? Considering the season of release and the limited availability of some of their other options this release looks a bit better in that light. |

Plenty of heat in the chipotle. _________________ Leafs fans are a special type of sports fan. And by special, I mean pretty gay! |

Mocha Porter
Shakespeare Stout
Chocolate Stout
Hazelnut Brown
Imperial Stout
any of the XS series beers.
Even one or two of these mixed in with a few of the beers from this release would have been better IMO.
I said nothing about "safer" in my post. I want the "beer geek" beers. That's what I like to drink. |

I have no problem drinking a porter or stout in June, but I can understand why the average person would have a aversion to it. |
