What an odd selection of beers to highlight. The only one I will be picking up is the Brutal Bitter. _________________ I drove all night. Is that all right? |

If the post below has any truth to it, and I'm inclined to at least consider the argument since it comes from the brewer at Half Pints, it might explain why the selection is so "odd":

When a buyer dictates the preferred packaging size and pricing in their submission requirements, it's rare that brewers who could sell their beer anywhere else with less hassle would want to be bothered.
Breweries who work within that system struggle unless they:
a. produce beer for the lowest common denominator.
b. desperately need somewhere to dump their excess capacity.
For example:
a. any eastern block euro trash lager
b. any Rogue beer
a. + b. Minhas Boxer Lager.
The real problem occurs when it comes time to delist products since the reality of the beer industry is that there is always someone who's willing to brew it cheaper, and always some brewery with excess capacity looking to dump beer on your market. And in the worst case scenario, someone who's willing to do both. |

More details about this release, including LCBO#s, formats, and planned retail prices have been released by the LCBO. I've updated Cass's original post in the thread, but for those too lazy to scroll back, here's the scoop:
LCBO # \ PRODUCT NAME \ % alc./vol. \ Unit Size (Ml) \ Proposed Retail (subject to change)
246793 \ Rogue Brutal IPA \ 6.5 \ 650 \ $6.40
246801 \ Rogue Morimoto Soba \ 5 \ 650 \ $6.40
246819 \ Rogue Chipotle Ale \ 5.5 \ 650 \ $6.40
246827 \ Rogue Northwestern Ale \ 5.9 \ 650 \ $6.40
246835 \ Rogue Double Dead Guy \ 9 \ 750 \ $9.95
246785 \ Rogue Somer Orange Honey Ale \ 5.2 \ 650 \ $6.40
And for those who are curious, Rogue's new agent in Ontario is Airen Imports, although it's not mentioned on their website - http://www.airen.com/ |

And the Brutal IPA is cheaper than it was last time it was at the LCBO (under the Brutal Bitter name) - $6.95 then, $6.40 now. |

| I like Rogue. I'm really very pleased that they are being featured. Their Hazelnut Brown Nectar changed my life. Everything on the list looks good to me. |

Agree pricing seems friendly, and on more than one beer. Wonder what Rogue is trying to do up here!
Although the LCBO can & do update prices! Peche Mortel (a great DDC beer) was falsely announced at a lower price the last time round, which the LC later corrected. _________________ In Beerum Veritas "... Misuse of Literally Makes Me Figuratively Insane..." |

Yes. Prices are updated at the beginning of each period. Always on a Monday morning. Lots of stuff goes up but you'd be shocked to see how much stuff goes down too. _________________ Leafs fans are a special type of sports fan. And by special, I mean pretty gay! |

I think the Double Dead Guy is a great price.
Just got back from Buffalo and it was $14.95 at Premier Gourmet. |
