I'm curious to find out whether anyone has ever tried to heat up a beer; or simmer it with spices a la mulled wine; or adding sugar and hot water to the brew like this food writer did?

I've only ever had Quelque Chose heated, but it's delicious. Frustratingly hard to find, though.

Quelque Chose also, and its grandfather Leifman's Gluhbeer when I was in Belgium in 2005.

I would be tempted to try it with Anchor's Christmas ale also. I think it could do well.

I think we did a mulled winter ale at Grand River early on at one of the tastings. Seems to me it was about this time two years ago?

To be fair, Jubilation could practically be designed for that.

Quelque Chose here too. I've only got one bottle left.....it is usually my first camping beer of the year during those cold spring nights.

Love muled spiced ale like Quelque chose. I think this is this biggest "untapped" market for beer in these cold parts.
Colin.
