I will be delivering a firkin of a one-off to Volo tomorrow. It is a "Christmas Porter" flavoured with currants, plums, raisins, figs, dates and cinammon. A Christmas cake in a glass you might say.
As always, please let me know what you think of it, good or bad.

Don't tease. What day will this fine treat be offered to the public?

Sometime next week, as the cask version of Nutcracker is on at Volo for the weekend.

Assuming it's not drained tonight! You know what people are like when they here that Nutcracker is available; they go crazzeee.

Glad I was planning on going to Volo tonight!

I'm actually stopping by C'est What and Volo with a friend visiting from Boston. I was VERY excited to read about the changes in the Volo and C'est What lineup.

Volo is closed 24th-26th... according to the website.
Hopefully that means the cask will last to the 27th... we shall see.

Darn it, now I might have to head downtown saturday.

Ralph told me that it would be tapped next Friday.
Merry Christmas and Festive Festivus ( it was today), Happy Channukah and well, whatever you're celebrating, have a beer.

I would head downtown today Jer, I had it last night, and damn was it good. I think if Ralph leaves the Firkin to the 27th it probably will be past its prime. The flavours and taste of the cask Nutcracker is a totally different experience, it made a great desert for us last night on the way home from dinner at Mill Street.

Jer, Geoff and I stopped in and had the Nutcracker cask, and it was good. I think there may be some more later IIRC what Ralph said.
