|

I have a friend's birthday coming up, and since she's a beer geek, I'd like to get her some beers that are unavailable in Ontario/Quebec. (She's from Ottawa, which gets the best of both worlds.) The problem is that a) I have no car, and b) I'm 20, which means that I can't go over the border and buy beer.
So here's the deal. If there's anyone from the KW/Cambridge area who's planning on taking a trip to the US in the next couple of weeks, (yes, I left it a little late. ), and who wouldn't mind taking some of my money to grab some beer for me (and obviously a six-pack or two for yourself - that's only fair), I would be forever grateful.
Cheers,
Tyler |

Not going, but suggest could check all your 'local craft beer' options for rare stuff, and perhaps some growlers from Mill Street. _________________ In Beerum Veritas "... Misuse of Literally Makes Me Figuratively Insane..." |

| I was completely unaware that Mill St. sold Growlers. Interesting. |

Belgian, I think you mean growlers from Grand River, not Mill St. It's ok, I often make the mistake of calling the Mill Race Mild the "Mill St. Mild". Something about the word "mill" just gets mixed up .
If I actually had any money at the moment, I'd be in on this, because I'm pretty sure I live maybe 5 minutes away from Illuminatus. But of course, I'm a broke, starving student, so no need to worry about me and desire for American craft beer! |

| No, I think he means growlers from Mill St. At least I think that's what I bought... |

| No I mean that we live in Kitchener, right above Cambridge, so logically if we were going to purchase growlers from anywhere, it would most likely be Grand River, not Mill St. in Toronto. Maybe he did mean Mill St., but that makes no sense, unless he just picked Mill St. for some unexplained reason. Only Belgian truly knows.......... |

| I'm planning on going down again towards the summer(June/July-ish), but that might be too late for you. When do you absolutely need it for? |

I was hoping the week after next at the latest. (At that point, my friend is 21, so it's then moot. ) Thanks, though.
Does Mill St. do growlers? That'd be interesting. I actually picked up a few from Grand River last weekend for some friends and I, there's nothing quite like having fresh beer that was bottled the day before. |

| Yes, I can confirm that you can get growlers at the store at the Mill Street Brewpub. |

Back to your original request.
I live in the Toronto area and have some rather difficult to obtain brews in my cellar. If you have some way to get them from Toronto I could probably spare a few of them for a worthy cause.
So we get an idea, what style of beer is your friends favourite? |

Hefe-weizen, and you, sir, are an officer and a gentleman. I can offer growlers from Grand River in exchange, if you like. (Or anything else I can come up with, I might be able to snag a growler from the new Railway City Brewery in St. Thomas.)
Cheers,

On Hefe-weizens I've got nothing but I'll PM you with the top brews I can part with.
Cheers. |
