I just got the e-mail at work.
Class 2 recall. Product not for sale. Please pull from shelves.
Product will be destroyed or dumped immediately.
This is a quality control issue and will be dealt with as soon as possible.
Just thought some of you would want to know, so don't expect to see this for a while now. _________________ Uncle Len gets the job done every time. |

If I weren't at work, I would Google a suitable image to express my feelings on this.
For now, this will have to do:

I wonder if the decision was made by the LCBO or DDC? Or by Satan? _________________ "You shoulda shot A Rod!" |

| Good for the LCBO. Who knows what the lax health regulations are in the third world country this beer came from, so it is a good thing they tested it out for us and determined it wasn't for our consumption. I'm just concerned because I was drinking this beer at Volo a week and a half ago. |

Not technically, but it is a pre-worded e mail that comes down with a product number and the reason. _________________ Uncle Len gets the job done every time. |

| For those in the know, what are the classes of recall? I only found a couple of references to Class 2 Recall and they dealt with a particular substance exceeding a threshhold (a la Cantillon Kriek). Class 1 Recalls appear to be an immediate safety issue that requires a public announcement. |

You don't know the details and neither do I. You're getting way ahead of yourself friend. Take it easy and I'll post what I can when I am able to do so. _________________ Uncle Len gets the job done every time. |

IBUs exceed the maximum allowed in Ontario. I believe the provincial cap is around 30.
Anyway, Len's right, until the reason becomes apparent its hard to pass judgment. Unless, of course, you operate using occam's razor. _________________ www.torontobeerweek.com |
