I've seen this list before but I don't think it was online. It's a fun thing to go through, even though it's highly debatable. I've done about a quarter of the list from first glance. Anyone else?
Having not made it to Europe or the western US, from the list I've only been to:
17. Mondial de la Bière, Montreal, Quebec
20. Beer Club Popeye, Tokyo, Japan
48. The Blue Tusk, Syracuse, NY
100. Steamworks Brewing, Vancouver, BC
113. beerbistro, Toronto, Canada
116. Anchor Bar, Buffalo, NY
Anchor Bar? Really?! Three things I remember about that place: 1) the wings made me sick 2) the suicide sauce is a joke and 3) the beer selection sucks.
We also weren't too excited about Steamworks.
As Bobsy and I have mentioned in the Tokyo thread, Club Popeye is a must if you're visiting Tokyo. For our next visit we're going to get a hotel in the area so we can end every night there and stagger home (subway closes at midnight!) _________________ lister
Thanks for posting this list, Cass. Its interesting to see a number of places on it that I've considered going to when I've been in the respective town and then decided against after a bit of research has suggested they are either crap, tourist traps or both. That said somtimes I think I prefer bars to beers, so I've been to a few of these...

Even with less choices on tap, I prefer Clarks Ale House over The Blue Tusk. The Blue Tusk is still a nice bar though. It's also a very noisy and crowded bar. Clarks is a perfectly peaceful pub to enjoy a quiet pint in.
