Well I can tell you that a year doesn't degrade it at all. I'll grab a couple more this year

Hello all,

I just picked mine up last week and opened it today. The aroma was quite strong, woke up my nose. I guess it's the vinegar, I was trying to place the aroma. Thank you for the info on this. Yes, very little carbonation. Poured into a narrow glass because I want to drink it nice and slow.

I like it. I've tried a few sours, this one is different and I think it might be because of the vinegar. Not sure if it's common to use vinegar in sours or if brewers use something else? Anybody know?

Even though it's 8% it's fairly light tasting but very tart.

The price seems high but it is a 750ml bottle, divided out by ml it's not that badly priced.

Cheers,

They dont "use" vinegar (well, I wouldnt put it past some 'breweries'). Acetic acid (sp?), which is what vinegar is made of, is a byproduct of bacteria working on the wort.
