Agreed. Had my first one last night and thought it was very nice. Probably a standout in a release that hasn't exactly wowed me. In particular I found the Punk IPA pretty disappointing.

+1 on the punk IPA. I'm not sure what it was, but it was watery and muddled.
On the plus side tried Hops and Robbers again for the first time in a while last night and was really pleased. Very British to me, but really refreshing too... _________________ "What can you say about Pabst Blue Ribbon that Dennis Hopper hasn’t screamed in the middle of an ether binge?" - Jordan St. John |

I didn't mind the Punk IPA. It didn't blow me away or anything, but I thought it was pretty solid. Not crazy hoppy, but very well balanced I found. Maybe I was expecting less based on what's been on here, but I would grab another one. If it was between this and getting another offering from the same brewery I'd probably opt to try something new though. _________________ A fine beer may be judged with only one sip...but it's better to be thoroughly sure. |

If they shoved Punk IPA up the ass of some maggoty road-kill, and then aged it in a Scottish lake for 3 weeks then it would have that rare, special taste. _________________ In Beerum Veritas " ...John Malkovich ... mere mortal, or scarf-healing secret super power?" |

I think it mentions the ideal temp on the side of the bottle. If I remember correctly it is 12-14. |

Pull it out of the fridge and wait 10 minutes. Then serve. Boom. |

Probably my favourite beer of the release, but yes, boom for sure. I opened a bottle, went to get a glass, and turned back to see the bottle overflowing everywhere. _________________ "You wanna talk some jive? I'll talk some jive. I'll talk some jive like you've never heard!" |

^^^ It's silly the lcbo.com website does not identify this as a 'saison.' They have all this 'beers of the world' propaganda and their whole big pretentious 'product selection' system but they really fail with consistent (not to mention correctly-spelled) website information. * sigh *
At least we're getting some good products, there were some VERY dire years in the last decade when things appeared to be getting steadily worse! _________________ In Beerum Veritas " ...John Malkovich ... mere mortal, or scarf-healing secret super power?" |

| for the ottawa people, they had a good chunk of this release at the Rideau and King Edward location today. And Hops and Robbers and all the Tree Brewing beers too. And even some rogue double dead guy.. |
