Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

i'm sure if you look up the league info, it'll have a number associated with it. that is usually the norm and that's the # we need.

Yeah I know what you mean. I posted a thread a while back named "the wasteland" on the same subject. my frustration lies with the fact that I'm specifically AT the LCBO to find select brews. any select brews! when that is not the case, i get disappointed. i'll just have to keep in mind th...

Port Arthur Pale

I recently enjoyed a few pints. Its great for a local area brew but unspectacular on a larger scale. http://www.tbsource.com/Localnews/index.asp?cid=93700 This quote from the above pretty much says it all. ''a fair amount of hop bitterness, balanced with some malty sweetness to it, and a good hop ar...

I definitely disagree with the 'leave the dark beers' comment because there are some pleasantly refreshing Darks and Milds with quenching toffee, nutty characteristics. I'm thinking at least Hockley Dark and Wellington Dark ales, and also King Dark which is a fine Dunkeles Lager. Don't miss Denison...

Summer Beer?

Things are starting to heat up so I'm just curious what everyone's beer of choice is for the warmer weather. OR what beer goes hand in hand for you and summer!

Me, I'm all about the wheat beers for the summer and stay away from the darker ales. Then switch back in the fall.

re: Saku I had one this past weekend. My expectations were met. Meaning that I had no prior elusions of greatness for a brew coming out of Estonia. It was mild with no lingering afterburn. Not in the same league as anything I've ever tried from Germany. A step below Becks' but not offensive. 6 outta...
