My one experience was pretty good. We made a reservation so there was no wait, the beer was great and the food was quite good. No complaints.

I will expand on my one line above. First, the bad: - The food was not only a huge letdown but also misadvertised. They claimed one price all-in and it was far from that. You got five one-bite samples (and you only got 5 if you got them before any sold out) and then had to pay for the rest. This eve...

For those that went, what does the following mean to you: "This year for the first time, we bring you the "ALL-IN" price which you will be able to sample approx. 100 different beers, great food, music, comedy, and unique entertainment all under one roof!" It certainly doesn't me...

but man, lots and lots of IPAs/hop-inspired beer. I know, thank goodness! Seriously though, no more then 20% of the beer were IPAs/hoppy beers. Not that high considreing how many people love the style. Many thanks to the Moranas and all the volunteers, it was a superb event! Easily the best cask fe...

Cracked one open 2 weeks ago and loved it. Another order would be a good thing indeed.

Not directed at anyone in particular but complaining about service at an event like the DdC event is pointless, they do their best with the staff they have and the room they have. You can't blame them for being successful. What can you compare it to? You can't compare it to other bars during regular...

Re: Black Oak Cask On At Twisted Kilt

Is the below still accurate? Anyone been to Twisted Kilt lately? Hi Everybody I'm hopefully going to be doing some regular casks at the Twisted Kilt close to Yonge & Davisville. I'll be working as the semi official cellar master and keeping the cask lines clean and ready to go. John of the Twist...

Festivale doesn't even come close to Hawaiian Style, even taking style into account
Same price yes, but the Beau's will be served in a pint glass, the Spearhead in their goblet.

Not in Toronto it doesn't. I've checked.

What I'm saying is at least you have a chance of getting 400ml in this case, in a standard glass market at fill line. And to play devil's advocate I had the impression the thistle is usually not as big as 20 oz or 500 ml. I'm not arguing the size of the glass, establishments are being told they hav...

The thistle-shape glassware comment is relevant, I guess we pay for that too and it's unusual, classy and functional. Again creates stong branding & product intrigue. The reason for the glass, in my opinion is, so that establishments charge you for a full pint even though it's not a pint glass....

Spearhead is, frustratingly, the most expensive Craft Beer in Ontario. It will certainly deter me from having as much of it as I'd like.
