I had to drainpour an entire case of Doggie Claws. Absolutely criminal... and handled so poorly, I'm not sure I'll buy any of their stuff ever again.

The Achel Extra comes in a case of 12 x 750ml bottles @ 11.40/bottle, so it'd work out to 3 bottles for $34.20. If you guys are both interested in this one (the response to the bug beers is surprisingly disappointing so far), I can create a new thread specifically for the Achel to hopefully get a 4t...

Sour Lovers: 6 Orval + 6 Rodenbach Grand Cru $52

Hey guys, I love wild beers, but I've never even had the privilege of trying either of these. Unfortunately, the LCBO is very resistant to offering any of these! So, between the uncertainty of these particular beers, not to mention price, I figured this could be a good opportunity for me and a few o...

If people are willing to take a lot of bottles (ideally, 3 more people for 6 bottles each) and can PayPal me the payment upfront, I can order a case - and obviously, guarantee the availability for them. People would need to pick it up in Scarborough... right on Kennedy Road, just north of the 401. I...

Just tell her to shut the f up and know her role... This strategy works really well in the 21st Century  . I've bought singles from closed-sixers before. You just have to be super-stealthy about it. I find that looking really impatient at the cash generally works well in making the employee ju...

Ah okay, gotcha. The guy didn't indicate this all and made it sound like it was never okay. I understand about picking up a sixer which has a beer taken out but not realizing it until later. I actually made sure to leave it wide open and obvious to any unsuspecting customer... I wasn't deceptive in ...

Buying single bottles

Did anything happen to the rule obligating the LCBO to let people buy just a single from a 6 pack? If it's still supposed to be allowed, what's the best way to make a complaint? An LCBO manager just raged on me for trying to do so, as if I was a thief or something. I told him I've been allowed to do...

I have a spare refractometer, 1 gallon jugs, and immersion chiller. But I am in Ottawa. I messaged you about maybe paying to ship (in addition to whatever's worked out for the items, of course) the refractometer and immersion chiller. I'm also interested in buying some used, but working, gear. Part...

I've used it and it definitely produces sulfur. As mentioned, it needs to be vented. You're lucky you didn't get any bottle bombs as champagne yeast ferments extremely dry - it's extremely attenuative. In addition to the priming sugar, it no doubt fermented some of the stuff the original yeast didn'...

I do mostly mini-mashes with a 5gal cooler indoors (did my first AG Sunday with a Berliner Weisse... don't need much capacity for a 3%abv beer) and I'd love to be able to just hose it down. Unless you plan on doing a no-boil (which I'd be reluctant to do with a cooler anyways), that's all that's rea...

You can still go tonight! Make sure you ask them to look in the back. Since it's still there, your chances are excellent. I generally wait until I see it in stock on the website. It only shows up at the latest a day late, and that particular store seems to keep everything in the back room for quite ...

Just picked up a case (4x6) in Markham at the Woodbine/7 store. It's been in stock since monday but they are still in the back. I'm a bit ashamed to have purchased half of that store's entire allotment, but with the current offerings the lcbo has, you gotta do what you gotta do.
