Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!
It looks like the LCBO web site says Red Racer is discontinued. That would be disappointing. I was hoping the reappearance of bb dates would mean we could start finding some fresh Red Racer again...
If anyone is interested in this event, Beau's now shows the bus trip to/from the brewery costs $10 and includes a $10 gift certificate for their store.
Need a dinner recommendation. With the wifey, looking for something better than TGI Fridays but not a 2 hour supper estravaganza. We are staying in the Liverpool area but willing to drive. Dinosaur is the second night so it's covered. We went to the Empire Brewpub last time we were down with our wi...

When my wife decided to cut out the middle of the night breastfeeding, she decided I should be the one to get up to console our daughter. It was a few nights of lots of crying/screaming, but pretty soon it all worked out. Things will get easier soon (and in a few years you won't remember the crying ...
BTW, bit of a Gas Face for pricing. At 50 cents an ounce for most beers, and $1/oz for some of the special ones it ain't cheap. I like Steamwhistle and all, but I'll be damned if I'll pay them the equivalent of $6 a bottle unless there are strippers nearby. The prices at some of the booths are a bi...
The draught list at this place looks "alright" We went to Stubbies & Steins a few years ago. It was the best pub we found in town (although I don't really remember where else we went). You should also try to visit the Swamp Head Brewery (http://swamphead.com/). They have a tast...
I was down in Syracuse recently and noticed that a Gordon Biersch will be opening at the Carousel Mall. I didn't see when but a few stores are starting to open in the new expansion area, so it should be reasonably soon. That should provide a decent option if you're stuck at the mall and can't get to...
Their website (http://bigrigbrew.com/) says they are opening Monday June 11. It lists the following beers: BIG RIG GOLD Our flagship beer is a refreshing Golden brew that uses a blend of the finest Canadian and German malts giving it a smooth mild body that balances the crisp, pleasant German hop fi...

(Just consolidating some info from other threads into this Syracuse thread and adding a bit more) As was noted in http://www.bartowel.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=7431 Galeville Grocery has reopened. I dropped by last weekend and it looked good. Clark's Ale house will be reopening 'soon' (across the st...
