With Richter's it does not seem that you are guaranteed to get the female plant. I have bought them in the past both from freshops and through Barry as also suggested. Your best bet is through Barry as it is alot cheaper and quicker.

L'arte is a good place for a great meal and decent pint. The food is Eastern European influenced with huge portions. They do have St. Amboise Oatmeal and Cream Ale (replacing the apricot), Creemore, St. Andres, Niagara Best Bitter and some imports. Their website is http://www.larte.ca

I agree, go see the guys at brew your own, they are very knowlegeable and helpful. Try starting with an extract brew rather than a kit though, you will be able to have more control of the final product.

I tried an ale, I believe it was a red ale, by this brewery last summer while in Belleville, half hour from Campbellford (or as the locals call it c'ford), and I must say it was not great . This is not to say it has not improved over the past year, they were just starting out at the time. Worth...

I went to this festival 4-5 years ago, and I must agree that it was not all that great

I can't say if it has improved or not since. Maybe time to try it again this year.
