Re: Red Tape Brewery

I know someone who did the custom brew thing. For their dog no less. Didn’t realize it was so expensive.

Blood Brothers’ Over The Tap - $7 to $12 for 4 oz pours

If you don't follow the Toronto Craft Beer subreddit, there's been quite a bit of negative feedback over this event that took place this past weekend in Toronto. The theme was collaborative beers between Blood Brothers and other breweries. Apparently, it was $15 to get in to this ticketed event. Thi...

Not a brewery, but the Danforth location of Bar Hop closed last weekend.

Re: UK update

I was surprised to see Newcastle brown in cans at the LCBO last week, so picked one up out of nostalgia.

John Smith’s, Tetley’s, Boddingtons, Flowers - I miss those light, creamy UK ales.

The Only Cafe (Toronto) - property listed on MLS

Very, very sad if this mean the end of the Only. Hands down my favourite bar in the city. This has been my local for nearly 15 years since moving to the east end.

Remember when Mill St. Tankhouse was actually pretty decent?

Anyone seen the new Collective Arts IPA (No. 13) in any GTA LCBOs?

Re: Collective Arts

Ultrasoft is excellent. Tropical Distancing does what it says on the can. Veers into alcopop territory IMO. I bought four and will save the three I have left for warm days.

Re: Rorschach Brewing

Rorschach is worth trying. I'm not into sours or fruited beers but I like their IPAs. Can vouch for the current batch of Truth Serum, Master Status and Telekinesis. Their "crowlers" are actually 1 litre plastic medicine bottles since they don't have a canning station and they are currently...

Also, several breweries have shifted to Canpar. So far these have shipped blazing fast, and no issues upon delivery.
Quick Google search shows Spearhead, Grain & Grit and Cowbell are using Canpar. Anyone else? I wish Dominion and Sawdust would switch over to Canpar.

Surprised you guys like this so much. I had it at The Jim during the Founders tap takeover last Friday. Found it sickly sweet. Much prefer KBS or Kentucky Bastard.
Loved the CBS and the Better Half at the Jim. The free glasses were a nice touch.

Re: Black Lab Brewery opening in East Toronto this fall

Nice space, lots of dogs. Four beers on tap (a sour, an IPA, an APA and a black lager). Liked the IPA the best, but not enough to buy a bottle to go. Early days for this brewery, so will visit again at some point to see how they are doing.
