Funny you should say that. I just came back from Vermont with a case of Heady. This beer is not over hyped, it is awesome! Not sure I want to trade any of it, lol.

Westvletern in Person

Anyone have any luck picking up beer at the Abbey itself? I have an oppourtunity to stop by this September. From what I read 1) they don't sell Westy 12's every day 2) You have to call in advance with the license plate of you car 3) The phone lines are incredibly busy and they have very limited stoc...

The London situation wasn't too bad. I showed up at 7:30am for the 10am opening and was #9 in line. Was told there were 79 cases! By 9:45am there were only 60 people in line, 90+ by 10am. Huh, I drove by Masonville at 9:30 and it seemed to me the lineup was already too long. My "give a fuck&qu...

Kudos to the Toronto folk who had early mornings, but it sounds like a lot of the LCBO's were nice enough to open early. The London situation wasn't too bad. Called Rideout in London, they said they would not put anything on the floor, will be 'holding it for regulars'. Called 393 in London, took my name, but only for courtesey call for when it hits the floor. Will stick with first come first served. Holding it for regulars is BS. They'll hold it for st...

This is terrible. Just terrible. Gambrinus was the icon of craft beer in southwestern Ontario. I'd almost go as far as to say the best in Ontario (with the rising prices and influx of hipster's in Toronto) I hope the crew can find another place in London and continue the amazing job they've been doi...

Excellent event. Thanks to GB and FM for making this happen. Really looking forward to some of these beers hitting the lcbo shelves. My favourites of the night were

1) Smooth Hoperator
2) Rye PA
3) Beek Geek Stout
4) Big Red
