Re: Ontario Craft Beer, Imports and Pumpkin Beers at the LCBO (Fall 2019)

Is Perth the only brewery releasing a wet hop beer this fall? There used to be more - Amsterdam and Nickel Brook but I haven't heard of any.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I thought there was still a reasonable amount of hop flavour and aroma in the jai alai. It was an enjoyable $3.75 investment. I’m also enjoying this. You are right, still some good hip flavour in it. I’m happy to have it, as it’s getting harder and harder to find these West Coast leaning beauties(t...

Re: Beaus Full Time IPA Review

my only gripe with this beer is the price ($4.00 a can) isn't all the money in the world but it's $50 cents to $1 more than IPA by Flying Monkeys, GLB or Collective Arts other than that Full Time IPA is a good beer. I agree about the price. I bought 1 can when it was first released because there wa...

Re: Oshawa Brewing Company

Thanks for the reminder on this place. I was at a seminar in Oshawa earlier this year and ended up with some time to kill. Checked Google and this was the closest brewery, drove over and quickly bought some cans to try. From what I recall the guy said it used a to be a brew your own beer business, i...

Re: Worst Ontario Craft Breweries

10) Brock St - same as Barley Days I tried their Blonde Ale a few years ago. It was awful, obviously infected. I emailed to give them a heads up, they offered me a bunch of free shirts and glasses and did not sounds terribly concerned about the beer. Only recent drain pour I can think of was the Ho...

Re: "Watch out for these bursting beer cans"

I bought a couple cans from the brewery a while ago and both went straight down the drain. At least none blew up on me!

My in-laws are rednecks/farmers. They give you a weird look for drinking anything but Bud or Coors.

I would love to be able to share one of the Unibroue 17's that have been waiting in the basement for a couple years.

Rogue Yellow Snow 5L Mini keg
Wonder what happened to the lindemans pack.
Will we actually see the Rogue mini kegs before Christmas?
Rogue mini kegs are gone from the lcbo site... boo-urns.

Ha! Not much chance of Stone Enjoy By coming to the LCBO? Slim to none. Stone has very specific guidelines about the handling and shipping of their product. Most of which the current LCBO does not adhere to. Now that being said, there has been Stone sneak into Ontario at the bar level. I could see ...

I'd imagine they're waiting for the month after they expire to roll them out...

Agreed that the LCBO is offering a much better selection (in certain stores) than previously. If the LCBO did start stocking 24s, then this creates the perfect void for a Craft Beer Store niche. LCBO can stock more of the big boxes and a new player can start up and stock craft. If one overall issue...

I just can't understand how one of the best ideas they can come up with is putting food colouring into Bud to increase sales. No amount of marketing is going to convince a craft beer drinker to switch to drinking Bud. They really need to figure out why people are switching to craft, and it sure isn'...
