Sounds liek I'll need to try this again. I was wholly underwhelmed by it when I had it at C'est What awhile back, and have skipped over it numerous times since then. Same here. Except I had it at Volo. It wasn't bad but it didn't wow me enough to repeat. Based on what other people are saying I thin...

Tonight I had a Bièropholie IPA, L'Alchimiste India Pale Ale and a La Barberie India Pale Ale. Things went from okay to bad to completely frickin' dire. I had such high hopes...but no. Not a good night for Quebec IPAs here.

Re: Amsterdam Wit

We packaged it yesterday. Bottles to be sold at the retail store about 60 cases and limited run in kegs. We have brewed a 2nd batch, so more to come. When is it going to be in the retail store? I was there Friday and didn't see it, and when I asked about it the guy working the cash register didn't ...

After a far too long absence of ST IPA on LCBO shelves, I was thrilled to find this when I went to the Cooper Street LCBO on Saturday. I would have bought a sixer even without the price drop. I also picked up the raspberry wheat. Here's hoping we see Choklat or Unearthly in the future!

Other than mixing up the artwork for Furious and HopDevil, it's a pretty respectable list. This was the article which it accompanied in the magazine:

in their defense, there's not many British IPA's available here, so the Wells may have been the best comparison. Wasn't Fermentations!'s entry an American IPA though? But you're right when you consider the dearth of widely available IPAs (American or British) in Ontario Well's was likely included b...

This was choice:

Yeah, Mondial was AMAZING! Ly crowded. Well, it started off okay on Friday afternoon but after about six it filled up quickly and by 8 pm I couldn't wait to get the hell out of dodge. I originally planned to go back Saturday for a bit, but it was another hot day and I figured it'd be just as stupidl...

I was at Wellington about a month or two ago and when I asked about the stout I was told it was only available on tap. I guess the decision to can it was recent? Since I'm here: I'm a little over half way through a Heritage Maple Bush Lager and it's one of the worst beers I have had in a long while....

I might have added that to my list but I haven't seen it in a single LCBO I have visited in ages and the LCBO website seems to indicate their inventory is low.

Does anyone know if and when they'll get more?

Re: Your 'Go-To' Summer Beers

This year it's looking like Muskoka Hefe, King Pilsner and, there's likely going to be a six each of Mill St Stock Ale and Tankhouse at any given time. I find the Stock Ale seems to appease most macro drinkers so I usually keep some on hand for them. I'd keep a few bottles of IPEh on hand if I could.

That said though, extremely well balanced and in the top 5 IIPA's I've ever had. Yup! Dear LCBO, please carry Hop Stoopid. You know? Saturday I did a chocolate stout tasting and I can't thank the kind chap who suggested it enough. :) We did Youngs Double Chocolate Stout, Rogue's Chocolate Stout, So...

For what it's worth I skipped the second round for the same reason I skipped the first round. As much as I love beer, it's not my entire life and I can only commit so much time out of a weekend to beer related events. I'm sure the same is true for a lot of us. Both rounds seemed ill timed as they we...

I had a good time Friday. It was a fun event and, while nothing really blew me away, there was at least a lot of good beer and only a very few disappointments. Mind you, I find it hard to really judge a beer based on a couple of ounces from a tiny plastic cup. It's enough to know if you either want ...
