You've gotta give the drunks & homeless something for a cheap fix! Well it gave this drunken homeowner a cheap fix. And I both thank them and loathe them for it. :) My fix for the night was a Hop Stoopid, purportedly 102 IBU. I thought it was pretty drinkable, but probably more like 85 IB...

I had a Dogfish Head 90 Minute. Awesome.

Then I cracked open the Yankee Jim Ice Bock. This was just a boozed up cheap crappy lager and not the eisbock I was hoping for. Why the LCBO carries crap like this I'll never know.

So I'm drowning my sorrows in a Titan IPA.

A can of Neustadt Bruce County Lager with dinner.

A can of Surly Bender for dessert.

And I'm about to have a Dogfish Head India Brown Ale for second dessert.

The end.

6 pack of the wind and sail dark ale...And to the contents were a foamy undrinkable mess. I had the exact same experience and it didn't exactly make me want to try anything else from them. The Yuletide Cherry Porter was nice though. At least it didn't violently erupt all over my kitchen counter aft...

Oh yeah. I had the Chimay. As good as it was it didn't shed any light on hop extracts for me. Oh well.

I'm having a Muskoka Hefeweissbier now. I can not say enough good things about this beer. It's so damned drinkable and a really solid example of the style.

Most of the issues with Trafalgar's beers are due to infection problems which are likely isolated to their facility, so that shouldn't affect the Black Creek location. Trafalgar connection or not, I think slamming them before they've even started is a bit unfair. Most of my issues with Trafalgar ar...

What about: 3) created by the owners of Trafalgar Ales and Meads?

I had it at Volo on Friday and I thought it tasted thin and watered down. An abundant nuttiness with an underlying bitterness in the far off distance is about the only thing I could say about it. My ladyfriend tried it and wondered if anyone would be able to tell the difference between it and water ...

Got sent one of these myself, but haven't tried it yet. Interesting comment about the bitterness considering the 102 IBU's. Wonder if that was due to the use of hop extract rather than flowers or pellets? It could be that. It could be the sweetness counteracting the hops. It could be that I misspok...

After mowing my lawn today, I had a Victory Prima Pils. I can see that happening a lot this summer once it's released at the LCBO. It's a major thirst quencher. I just polished off a Hop Stoopid, and I didn't find it that extremely hoppy. There was an odd earthen fruity (pungent, almost) taste to it...

Love it! I absolutely love the ceramic swing top bottle it came in. Beau's do an excellent job of branding and the bottle is a nice extension of this with the usual tractor motif that adds a nice touch of the bucolic. Pours a brownish amber with a good thick, white bubbly head and tons of thick laci...

NICE! One of my favourite Canadian I.P..... err... beers. Coincidentally enough I just polished off a Corne du Diable. And I would do it again! Only I just had the one. So I'm having a SN Torpedo now. Anyway the aroma of the CduD was fantastic. Not quite as full as a Blind Pig, but that's wha...

Most impressive. Really, that's a solid release. It's a little light on Ontario Craft Brewers. But that's just nitpicking. "Denison's in 500ml bottles coming." <— I giggled like a little girl when I read that! Don't know if anyone saw this or not, but the trade doc says that the Town Hall ...
