Brewers take great pride in their craft. If I craft a well made low-cal lager I'm going to be happy to know it was technicall...

Why is Mad Tom IPA more serious than their other beers? I consider them a two-tiered brewer like Sierra Nevada - in their case and on a smaller scale, thyey have some tamer stuff for the cottage crowd, and a 'second' product line with a more select appeal (craftier beer.) It's smart from both a cas...

Some brewers will always be cool, and will produce beers not easy to get, which shall forever enhance their desirability. Wax dipped, secret handshake, the whole nine yards. And others like Muskoka will exhibit an uncanny knack for really conservative craft beer, while sticking a firm toe or even a...

Now enjoying a few Hopyard, a Pale Ale with an unusual vinious quality, almost like you can taste wild grapes in it or something. This beer makes me crazy trying to describe it. Anybody know what I mean?

A cask beer called Dumb Pig Rye Pale Ale, at Volo tonight. This reminded me of some of the best English bitters I've had. I'm not sure I'd have identified the rye had I not known, but I think it adds some extra aroma and taste and possibly contributes to the nice reddish colour. The beer poured nic...

This beer is like the Magnotta IPA on steroids. at first I didn't dig it due to lack of malt sweetness, then I embraced how awesome the hopping is. Centennial kind of owns my heart as a hop, so I'm bias. I also don't like crystal malts...and this obviously has none or so little that it's still golde...
