while I do agree with steelback guys your reasoning about us being a small target market, I just thought it was a funny story. I wasn't expecting the 20 something blonde to know much about beer, and she could have honestly thought reccomending olde english was a helpful reccomendation. I'm in my 20s...

Oh they are rediculous! The last time I returned bottles at the beer store the employee without a problem accepted 3 St. Bernardus bottles, then started to complain about me about bringing in out of province bottles when she saw a pair of ephemere 750ml bottles... Another time, I think it might have...

I was at the Cooper St. LCBO today, and talked to a guy at customer service regarding the 40. He said that they have 9 cases in the warehouse, and have stopped taking names of people to hold bottles for, as apparently they have more than 9 cases reserved. He said the best bet to get some in the T.O....

Does anyone know if the 40 will be showing up in any restaurants/bars? I was talking with someone at the LCBO (cooper st.) today and it seems like the small amount of the 40 they have is already spoken for. The 12 is quite nice... I've been sampling a few beers since my last beer run to Buffalo, and...

While watching the hockey tonight I tried this beer for the second time... Just a good as the first. My only major complaint was I found it to be a little too bubbly, which i found clashed with the rich and complex taste. After letting it sit and warm for a bit, it definately got better. I enjoyed h...

There's a beer called 'Trafalgar Black Creek Dark Ale' at the C'est What Festival - I wonder whether this is the same recipe they'll be using at the Pioneer Village? It might be an interesting insight into how they're approaching brewing traditional styles. I saw the same beer at the LCBO in a thre...

after a run did a little side by side of rochefort 10, westy 12, and a st bernardus abt 12. rochefort was very rich and definately the most distinctive, st bernardus had a very smooth finish which i found quite different to the fruity almost wine-like flavors of the westy. Definately a good way to w...

The Alliston LCBO is a medium sized LCBO, it carries a moderate selection of craft beer and does seem to land some good ones. They carry the Hockley valley dark and stout. Some of the Robert Simpson - haven't seen any flyingmonkey yet. Creemore Springs. We do get some Rogue, Samuale Smith, Mill St....

Anyone who pays that much for a ticket is a jackass. If somebody wanted DL that bad they could just show up and buy some bottles off anyone there. Or when the tickets are all alotted, buy the extra bottles. With the amount of tickets floating around I bet theres a lot of them that won't even be use...
