6 places I would go if I had the time+money: 1. Vilinius, Lithuania (Just so I can visit this place: http://www.snekucio-alaus-pasaulis.lt/) 2. Brooklyn, NY 3. Turin/Milan, Italy - emerging craft beer scene 3. Mexico City - ditto, apparently 4. Kuichi Brewery (Hitachino,), Japan - It's like an all-i...

The folks who run Novare Res have apparently opened a brewpub/distillery called Infiniti, also downtown.

If you manage to check t out, please post a review. I'm itching to get back to Portland at some point.

Looks like there will be a new brewpub in Watertown. Might be a good lunch spot on the way to Syracuse.

I hear you, good points. Didn't notice the advertising about microbrasserie. It is a bit odd that they started talking about themselves as one when clearly they're not (yet). Lag time aside, Gainsbourg beers do exist. They had a booth at the Gatineau beer fest with some 3 or 4 of their own beers, i...

I've been to Gainsbourg twice in the past couple of weeks and enjoyed it both times. It's much cozier and friendlier than BDT. The food, while not served in heaping quantities, is quite tasty. I've had the Gainsbourg burger and the flank steak, both very tasty (the addition of smoked meat in the bur...

Thanks for this. I had no idea Liquids and Solids even existed. Good to know.

We should rent the war room for a tasting! BTW, I'd recommend reservations for the tour. I've seen people get turned away. I'll second the Bunker. Pretty cool. I went a long time ago, before they turned it into a museum and they were planning on closing it permanently and just opened it for a short ...

Assuming you are brining a car, you could combine a tour of the Deifenbunker with lunch at the Cheshire Cat.

The Deifenbunker is, IMHO, one of the cooler tours in town.

Sunoco Craft Beer Exchange Program expands

I know the Buffalo trial of this program has been mentioned before, but not sure if the expansion has been brought up yet. The Sunoco craft beer exchange was apparently a success and has now spread to more spots in NY state, including some in Watertown, Canton and Potsdam... Good for those of us eas...

A bit about the new chef here. http://blogs.ottawacitizen.com/2011/12/02/the-inside-look-mill-st-brewpub-to-custom-tailor-menu-to-match-its-own-brews-new-video/ I was always under the impression that Mill Street in Toronto farmed out their menu to the same pub chain that ran the Pour House on Dupont...

my new mission in life is to snag one of the tables over the river. That's a good mission. I could be wrong, but I think those seats are right over some sort of waterfall. Just got a glimpse as I drove over the bridge. I went on Saturday and had a tasting flight, which included the Red and the IPA,...

Hey, the HPH is on this list. Good to see a brand new place in Ottawa start off on the right beer foot. Any ideas if they will have it on tap?
