Re: Cask Days 2018

I am having a tough time narrowing things down. I’m in the 30s. I’ll need to start ranking. Is the keg section new this year? I don’t remember it from last year. They had a a much smaller keg section last year but didn't really promote it. (Or at least I personally wasn't really aware of it until I...

Re: Cask Days 2018

I was pretty vicious in culling my list and I'm down to 24. I guess I hope that some of them get tapped before I get to them so I don't die? I hadn't counted but this made me curious enough to check - I flagged 19 Tier 1 and 27 Tier 2 priorities :) History suggests at least 1/3 of those I will miss...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

Wow! Regarding the Founders issue...while I don’t generally like to get involved in these type of discussions on a beer page (it’s one of the reasons I come here), I will say this: judging companies and making purchasing decisions on moral/ethical grounds can be a very slippery slope. Own any Apple...

Saw that the other day. There were some in an LCBO in Toronto too - mostly likely someones online order waiting for pickup apparently.

Re: Witchstock 2018

Those are pretty reasonable responses for the most part. I'm still a bit skeptical about how effectively some of those considerations will get implemented but maybe Im just a cranky pants :) They have at least considered that stuff which is a good start. We shall see!

ISO: Ontario Brewery Ticks

Aiming to try a beer from every Ontario brewery by the end of the year. Officially I set the cut off for breweries open prior to January 1, 2018 but I'm still trying the new ones too where I can. Anyone have any of these to trade or able to get some? IP Toronto preferred but wiling to do mail trades...

Re: Witchstock 2018

The line up looks great. I had a great time last year and have had this on my calendar since they first announced the date. I doubt I will be going this year. Maybe I'll change my mind, the lineup is certainly tempting. We shall see. That's a steep price point that I assume is reflective of what it ...

Re: Small Pony Barrel Works

My only small gripe is as an older guy with a little bit of extra weight in the usual areas, I am a little disappointed with the thin 50/50 cotton/poly blend shirt that is included in the club membership. I find that these shirts, which I realize are much more popular nowadays than the 100% cotton ...

I quite liked it, and found it surprisingly well balanced for a BBA beer. It is still fairly sweet overall though.

Re: Good pubs in Stratford

Any recent updates for Stratford? Looking at The Hub (Primarily in hopes of trying the Herald Haus beer before the brewery opens) and Mercer Hall. Also hoping Jobsite may open befire our august visit. Alternatively any good food tips for a non-beery lunch?
