Thanks.

So its still in the stores, just not listed online?

I'm only going to be in town briefly and wanted to make sure I went to a store that had some, plus a lot of other good ones.

Peace

I no longer see Hook Norton Haymaker listed on the LCBO online inventory.

Last week, the Yonge/Davisville LCBO alone listed over 200 bottles, and many other stores had it as well.

Is it really gone, or is this just a glitch in the system?

Uncle Bobby- Thanks a lot. Your replies were very helpful. Lets say I take back 3 cases(36 pints of Canadian beer back to the US). I guess I get an exemption for 1 litre( about 2 pints). Does anyone have any idea what I would pay in duty for the rest? $5? $10 $50? I really cant tell from the US bord...

Josh-yes, I'm American. I will be returning to the US via NY State border crossing, most likely. I've gotten on US customs web sites, and called NY Liquor board, but so far no definitive answers to my questions. How much beer can I bring back? What do I have to pay on the beer that's over the limit?...

Thanks. I'm clear on the rules for bringing into Canada. Can anyone shed some light on what the duty is for bringing Canadian beer into NY/USA? Iknow the limit is 1 liter duty free. What is the tax for beer over the 1 liter limit? <font size=-1>[ This Message was edited by: WeaselCat on 2003-07-03 1...

If I exceed that, what is the duty or tax? Secondly, does anyone know how much Canadian beer I can tak...

Re: Shepherd Neame- Bishops Finger and Spitfire- Ican help you with those-they are both excellent and have been available down here in Ohio for a few years now. Watch the light. They will skunk up in a heartbeat. I usually order sealed cases if I really want a beer in a clear bottle. Spitfire I like...

I hope the topic title is clear enough about what type of places I am looking for here. If you read my other topic(thanks for your very helpful responses by the way!) you'll know that I don't know much about the Toronto pub/beer scene(never having been there) but am a big fan of English style ales(I...

What about Bow and Arrow? Someone recommended that to me along with The Bishop and Belcher and The Rebel House.

I have a feeling those may not be family friendly though. Hope I'm wrong.

Thanks for the replies-very helpful if not heartening? Yes, definitely let me know where to get good bottled beer. Need some for the hotel. Would like some good local or semi-local ales, and maybe a place to get good English imports also. I may be a little spoiled in this area. I live in Cincinnati ...

Hello all. I am hoping you can help me. I will be in Toronto for a week in late July. I really want to try out a few of the best pubs and brewpubs in Toronto. I love English style ales, prferably cask conditioned. Can anyone help me out with a few recommendations? I am staying at the Delta Chelsea(G...
