Went there last night, great atmosphere - very busy - really had a nice pub feel to it. Disappointed with the draft selection - hardly any micros. Instead they had Apricot Wheat, Steamwhistle, Keiths, Guisness. (No oatmeal stout? :evil: )

I was disappointed by the beers I tried. The Hockley Hole Mole was just chocolate and nothing else. The Mill Street Chocolate Imperial Stout reeked of vomit. Makes diacetyl seem great. I may agree with you about the Hockey's Hole Mole, but to say the imperial tasted like vomit, is just wrong. :evil...

Tried it on cask - very strange beer, indeed interesting.
They brew it with the bog myrtle plant which replaces the 'hop'. I like it when Brewers experiment, but this may be a bit to far?

**EDIT** forgot to mention, it is a dirty brown ale, (dubbel style), and they use Trappist yeast.

To be honest here, I think its fair to criticize an establishment for certain things , but if the people running this place want to serve 16oz instead of 20oz, let them do that. Its a brewpub. Usually, people sample beers at brewpubs and at that price, i think its a great idea to have smaller pints....
