Re: Munich, Bamberg, Brugge, and Brussels.

Reviving this ancient thread to seek recommendations on Brussels and Munich. Will be spending 5 days in each city this October, excluding travel days. Looking for advice on must-visit beer destinations and fun tourist attractions. Hoping Bar Towel can lend a hand. Cheers!

Re: What're you drinking right now?

One of these things is not like the others. :D (I'm not judging, just having fun) Lol. You are definitely right about that. But to my surprise, it was drinking decent after a 17-year hiatus. Almost tastes like an all-malt pale lager now (not sure that's actually the case, since it's always been an ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

St. Ambroise Pale Ale (bottle) – a perennial favourite of mine, this old school, defiantly clear pale hasn't lost an ounce of charm, and still drinks exactly like it did ten years ago. A true Canadian classic IMO.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Fat Tug in cans and it's drinking very nicely right now! Thanks for the heads up. I went and grabbed a half case and it is indeed drinking great. Glad to see fresh(ish) cans here, as Fat Tug is one of the best WC IPAs made in Canada. Like most beers in the style, I prefer drinking this only slightl...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

What do you think of this? I'm looking forward to trying it if I can find it somewhere. It's so hard to get a decent locally brewed Helles. The People's pint is pretty good. While not earth shattering it's well executed. Muddy York's is, well, not lagered long enough, and had some residual DMS, at ...

Re: ESB and the Bitter continuum

It's a style with a lot of room for creative expression... Milds and Best and Ordinary bitter... ESB... (are) each a catch-all description as much as an actual style (and) within the continuum of a particular UK brewer's product line the style names have more relativity to their own line of beers (...
