Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. thanks for this! Patagonia is an area I never go tot visit, but tit is chock full of beer, including one of my favourites -- Cervezeria Beagle in Tierra del Fuego. One thing I really liked was so many of the beers were what we would call nano-breweries here. Very small, little distribution outside o...

I am really not sure. It's been a while since I worked in the warehouse. I would be very curious to know who else (besides MolBatts + Sapporo) uses the warehouses for keg delivery. I wonder if that is even an available option. Perhaps TBS is only willing to sell shelf space. I really don't know what...

those are fair points. I am just pointing out that there is so much volume in the major brands there's no way something else makes it onto the top 10 list. I bet they would increase how many cases they stock in an individual store if enough people asked. Not sure what it would take to have the numbe...

the way I see it this is a small, limited victory but a victory nonetheless. Clearly the Libs were scared enough by the rash of articles in the press and the bluster from the Cons to actually do something. I am as cynical s the next guy -- this is just a nearly meaningless change in anticipation of ...

I used to work at the London distribution center and I can promise you that there isn't enough physical quantity of other beers to be able to knock off one of the top 10 brands. You could order all of it and it wouldn't matter. It would be a drop in the ocean. The Beer Stores warehouses are the 'sec...

a next-level event! A big hand to everyone at Great Lakes & Milos' for all their work. So many highlights. The Pumpkin Saison was great, Milk Tits a great idea and a great beer (anyone aware of another lacto-IPA out there somewhere?). Ezra was tasty, the Root Beer was fun, vanilla bean delicious...

LABATT's in the 1800s

Hey Bartowel, Here is my first post detailing the research I am doing at London's Labatt Archives. Want to know what beer was like in London in the 1880s? Here's a good place to start. http://www.adventuresinalcohol.com/2012/10/labatts-brewery-archive-1884-1894.html If you have questions, please ask...

I am coming from out of town and don't want to eff this up or wait in line longer than necessary. Have not attended previous funk night events so I don't really have a frame of reference (thoug...

belated reply

hey guys! First, thanks for coming. It was a resounding success. We got about 800 people, way way way more than our highest estimates. To answer a few of the comments - Flying Monkeys had to cancel the day of the show. The rep's wife went into labour and he had to turn his truck around and go to thi...
