Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Not a " New Arrival" obviously but wasn't sure where else to post it. Great sale just started today at TBS on Nickel Brook brands full case price. Naughty Neighbour for example $15 off a case...48.95.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

I'd say it is going on a couple of months now of Smuttynose IPA @ TBS. I believe it is being carried at the vast majority of the self serve stores.

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Picked up a six of the St Ambroise Oak Aged Pale Ale to give a try. A refreshing treat in contrast to the onslaught of hop bomb IPA's lately. Goes down quite well!

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

For those in SW Ontario, Windsor area especially, Smuttynose IPA is now listed at the Tilbury TBS but will not have stock for problebly 2 weeks yet. This store is sourced out of the London LCBO warehouse so chances are maybe the London LCBO warehouse is still awaiting stock. I can let all know when ...

Re: Windsor-Essex County Beer Enthusiasts, Unite!

My compliments on your great article Cass! Thanks for shedding some light on our little chuck of SW Ontario down here as we have long been off the "beer destination" map. Windsor itself is really coming along beer wise along with some of the surrounding small towns. Thanks again for the ex...

20% of craft brews at a TBS should be a quite noticeable change. I wonder if it is the same breakdown for the grocery stores as well? Honestly with the hoops that the grocery stores will need to go through to get the beer in their stores, they are going to want immediate return for their investment....

Delirium Tremens

I just picked up a bottle of this from The Beer Store was quite suprised with this. I believe it's 8 or 8.5% and has a wonderful flavour with not an overpowering "boozy" taste that normally will turn me off of a beer. Granted I am no expert when it comes to a belgian tripel, as advertised,...

Innis and Gun Treacle (sp?) Porter

Despite positive reviews on both BA and Rate Beer..this was one of my top 2 worst beers ever tasted! Horrible! Half of it was a drain pour. Sorry but I don't see what all the fuss is about?

Waterloo IPA
Crazy Canuck

Read lots of negative reviews of the Waterloo but picked up a single can to quench my thirst and curiousity. This really wasn't too bad! Quite suprised actually. I know its not a big "hop bomb" by any means but a very decent tasting brew. Would buy again.

The sounds of this event were ofcourse wonderful but unfortunetly I could not partake due to not being able to make it to London. McAuslan brands really do have a solid reputation amongst us "afficianados" and their precsense really does seem to be improving here in SW Ontario. Barry, than...
