Re: Stalwart Brewing beer removed by LCBO after one day on sale

Apparently the LCBO is getting stricter and stricter on enforcing their crazy label requirements. Seems many breweries who have been around longer know to steer clear of anything *remotely* close to bad text/graphics topics, with Doctors and medicine being a well known one. Too bad such information...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

So there was some CBS in stock Friday morning and I ordered 6 bottles. However, it is still in pending status. Am I SOL, or is there just some sort of delay?

Re: Pearl Morrisette

I'm curious, have you had any Pearl Morisette? I've heard nothing but good things about them, but I tend to stay away from/haven't liked many Ontario reds. Interesting . I would be all over this if I were near the Niagara sometime. Thanks!! And I recently had an amazing VQA red at an event, wish I ...

Re: Spain! Navarra!

Magaña Dignus 2012 Tempranillo Blend I really like this. Great structure with inky black fruit and nice tannins, black tea and mineral. Plum skin and blueberry dryness/acidity. What a gorgeous wine for 17 smackers. ** Edit (OCT.4 ) ** I had to grab five more. It's selling out very fast, as it is ba...

Re: Bent Elbow, Kitchener

No 14 oz "pints" here! There's plenty, just depends what you drink. Lot of the breweries are serving in smaller glasses now. I see a bunch of 300ml pours now, and not just for higher ABV beers. And if they water the beer & serve with too much foam they can make it go even farther! The...

Re: Re:

I bet if they had allocated more stock to areas such as Toronto proper (not the suburbs) or the KWC-Guelph area - neither of which seem to have much in the way of lingering stock - there wouldn't be so much of it lying around. There are only so many people per city/region willing to fork over the c...

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge

These guys do no wrong. The worst beer I've had from them has been "good". Not a bad beer has been released, and knowing the guys, not one will be released. They unreleased a beer because it wasn't up to their quality. I got to try it, it wasn't a bad beer at all. I mean if you like hoppy ...

Re: Beers at Skydome for Blue Jays Game

Went to a game a month or so ago. We left our seats and stayed in the flight deck area. There was a decent selection of Goose Island in that area. I want to say there was some more craft beer in there, but with the lineups and having to look through the fridge to see what there was I just chose GI. ...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Same with Buster Rhino's in Oshawa. As far as it looks to me though... all these places are going and buying bottles themselves, just as any of us would. They've delivered to KW, but sometimes bars have gone and picked up too. As far as I've been told though, licensees were not allowed to purchase ...

I'm guessing the latter...
