Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Well, I am sure we could have enough interest in the Ottawa area for at least 1 case here (do you agree Inertiaboy?). The only thing is that caveat about losing our $$$ if the LCBO decides its unsuitable for sale. How much is it per case, you mentionned 5$ a 375 and 10$ a 750 mL. Do you have a final...

This beer was removed from ratebeer as it was the cask version of the lager. They have a policy against posting separately for casks (except in the UK). As Perry said, it was interesting but not much more.

Ontarians may order has long as they pick order in QC

Nope, I have done it . You place the order with Bieropholie or Institut via their site, and indicate the closest SAQ from the list provided (Ottawa: in Hull, on du Plateau, near the StarCité). The club buyer will then contact you to let you know how much is the deposit/fee, which you pay him. You wa...

There are two clubs (Bieropholie and Institut de la Biere). First to order, you have to be a member of the ordering club (Bieropholie: 5$ per order, up to a total of 25$, Institut: 35$ ). The clubs are considered not for profit oenological clubs. That's simple. You must order by the case. It would b...

Summer Release in Ottawa

Does anyone know (I guess Esprit) if some of the following will make their way in the NCR?

Chapeau, Rogue Half a Weizen, Belgian Peches, Saison Dupont and Lion Stout.

They are almost all available in TO, but not even listed at the LCBO in town.

Merry X-mas to all! Un joyeux Noel a tous. And a Happy New Year! Perry , I wish you success in 2005, and hope that your dream of a brewpub happens! Little suggestion! Maybe you should consider the Wellington St- Richmond Rd (Westboro/Tunney's Pasture) area for this brewpub....lots of us at the Pastu...

Not too bad if you are in Ottawa...Jovi in Hull as all the Unibroue 750s , 2 for 7.99$ plus tax and deposit (30c per bottle).

I concur with the Cap...Its a good 20 minutes drive from Hull to Aylmer. However , its is a failrly easy drive...You are going west on Tâché...past the Champlain Bridge, Tâché becomes Aylmer Road (Chemin Aylmer), and once you get to Aylmer, it changes name again, and becomes Rue Principale (or Main ...

Perry, Actually I thought Le Chaudron was back in business (new owners) and kept the line up . They were in Chambly on Labour day and seemed quite active. New brewery to watch out for: Les 3 Mousquetaires but not sure if L'Grand Chris will be bringing some of those in our fair region . BeerGeek , we...

Try the Marché Jovi, at 50 Bégin Street, a few block south of Boul. Taché for some of the others QC microbrews. Closer to downtown Hull (near Portage), is the Dépanne Plus at 2 Victoria Street. Used to be goos, but with change of ownership, it went dowhill a bit. Beer bar: l'Autre Oeil in Aylmer, at...
