Peter Lopaty

A sad farewell to a man who was instrumental in changing Ontario's craft beer landscape. Without Peter’s passion, knowledge, dedication and contribution, our beer scene would be way less interesting.

Join us in raising a glass of something really good to Peter Lopaty of Esprit.

RIP Peter

Blame the low Canadian dollar for the increase. Samichlaus is still a bargain here though compared to other places in North America :)

Re: Cuvee Van De Keizer

We have applied with the Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw every year since it was last here, but the LCBO has turned us down every time! It sold very well so we are not quite sure why it was turned down. Thanks for supporting the Gouden Carolus giftpack and the Bons Voeux, they are both terrific! As for th...

Re: Becoming an agent

To be perfectly honest, it is easy throw the entire blame onto the LCBO's shoulders - God knows there are practices and ways that have been forced upon them. They also happen to have some very hard working, passionate and well intended people across the entire organization but the rules are there to...

Re: Becoming an agent

Hi there, Sure enough, just like in any other business, there is an understandable lack of enthusiasm when it comes to sharing your business practices and procedures with others. On the other hand, it is hard to give any kind of firm advice when it comes to pricing and mark ups as there are many per...

This is a rather erroneous statement. then perhaps give some timelines/dates to show him otherwise? just a suggestion... Perhaps, both sides should elaborate on their position and even, if required, present some evidence to their claim. Why not extend the privilege to go first to the party that mad...

Hi there, We though we might chime in on the topic of late arrival without, in any shape or form, addressing the products in this particular release. While it is an easy, and often the most logical thing to assign a great deal responsibility for late product arrival to the LCBO, in reality there are...

Allow us to offer a combined answer to some individual questions. ST IPA is shipped every three months and it is entirely possible that some, hopefully really miniscule, quantities from the previous shipment are lurking around in a few bars or stores. Obviously, we are trying to strike the best poss...
