Scott, I'm glad you had a good time at our store. Sorry I missed you, but I ended up going to NYC for the "NASFT Fancy Food Show." Josh flew to NYC on Sunday and joined me. Meanwhile, Wesley was in Cooperstown visiting Ommegang. I'll make sure to tell them that you enjoyed their suggestion...

Scott, Josh - our beer manager - will definitely be in the store on Saturday and can help you choose some tasty brews. I'm not sure if/when I'll be around myself. We've had quite a few arrivals in the last 2 weeks - most are entirely new, some are restocks of items we've been out of for a while. Her...

The Utopias ended up costing us less than we expected, so the retail is now $140US. I know - its still an obscene amount of money for a bottle of beer. I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is interested...

Hey guys, I've just returned after a few weeks out of town to find out that we were able to get a few bottles of the 2003 Sam Adams Utopias (25% abv) at Premier. We could only get 4 bottles total - so I wanted to let you know, in case anyone wants to pool their pennies together. The price is $175 U....

Hey guys - just wanted to let you know. We did end up getting a very limited supply of the 23% World Wide Stout at Premier. It's real pricey though - $8.99/12oz bottle, or $199.95/case of 24 bottles. I think Esprit was trying to get WWS for you guys locally. I'm sure if he can, the price will be pro...

Sheesh! Maybe we should talk about digging a tunnel from Toronto to Buffalo?! I feel for you guys. We certainly appreciate your business and your tremendous good will!! If you stay overnight you don't have to pay the duty right? If a group of Bartowelers ever wanted to organize a trip to the states,...

How much did you pay??? I'm not in the store right now, but I thought our price on the Westy 12 was $9.29 per bottle. Has the US/CAN exchange rate gotten that bad? Still, it is probably the most expensive ~12oz bottle we sell...

Howard,
Cellar the Corsendonk Christmas for 2 years. It undergoes an amazing transformation. We've done blind vertical tastings on numerous occasions and the results are always the same - that beer is phenomenal at 2 years of age. Just phenomenal.

Wow - that Unibroue Quelque Chose is a great deal (and its a great beer!). I can tell you - we paid ~$75 per case wholesale!!!! And that's in USD!!! i.e. you guys are getting a retail cost that is far less than our wholesale cost.

My advice - buy lots.

Cheers

The Rogue Chocolate Stout is indeed a great beer. A little trivia - it was originally brewed for sale in Japan. However, for some reason the name doesn't translate well, so the Japanese name of the beer roughly translates as "Teddy Bear Beer". The Japanese bottles have a picture of a littl...

There also are three large orders of new/holiday stuff due to arrive next week (hopefully!). So, you may want to hold off until next w...
