Uxbridge isn't a huge market. If they're not getting in the LCBO right away, they won't survive if they don't make a beer the locals will buy.Plus they had a few questions in there that were clearly geared toward figuring out the best way of getting people to try new styles. Even if it is a passion...

I think the business side of things are important. If you want to start a brewery purely out of passion and don't care/have no clue about your surrounding market, you likely won't last long. It's a lot of time, money and effort to gamble solely on passion. I didn't think the survey was bad. To me it...

I grabbed a 6-pack of the saison from the brewery on Saturday. It was great.

I was surprised how many Block 3 t-shirts I saw downtown in Guelph on Sunday.

So if its always in stock, is there a lot of old stock on the shelves? I'd hate to be paying a premium price for stale product.

Curious.. Who here perfers it over Crazy Canuck? The last few months I've been buying a ton of Canuck then went back to a six pack of NN and it just didn't do it for me. I prefer it over Crazy Canuck. The last couple of times I had Crazy Canuck I found the hop flavour to be more muted by comparison.

I had it at the Guelph local food fest about a month ago. They had the apelager and the pub cider there. Its been awhile since I've had cider - but the pub cider was better than Magners and Strong bow. The apelager was great - and low abv (about 3), so you'd have no problems having quite a few. But ...

sounds like a lovely ale not so lovely a price though Even the Lager has crept up over $14 for 6. Is it me or have all 6 packs been going up lately? I am noticing it too. I remember even just a few years ago, for a 6 pack to cost more than $13 it had to be something either really good or something ...

When I was there on Sunday, they were already out of a few things, but I tried the Sawdust City One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Biere (which was quite good), and I think they were also pouring Matador, Nickel Brook Kentucky Bastard, and a couple of others. Dang it! Wish I hadn't missed it. I kept tryi...

I've been three or four times now. Each time I've either been gifted the tickets or got them for free so the price thing isn't a huge issue for me since $1/sample is fine. That said, this year's was the worst. The crowd seemed more annoying than usual (I was there Saturday). No caskapalooza - and GL...

I was thinking craft product that has reached, say 75% (or less ...50%?) of its shelf life be put on sale to try and move it, especially when there is several trays of it sitting there unrefrigerated, aging, with too few buyers. When a product goes bad they send it back to the brewer, at the brewer...
