Re: Good pubs in Stratford

Also, if driving, Seaforth ON is a short drive west (30 min)... YOU MUST GO TO HALF HOURS ON EARTH. :D

Re: Good pubs in Stratford

Mercer hall is good, and great food.

The HUB usually has a better beer selection, but food not nearly as good

Black Swann has a small tasting room and always has their good stuff on tap.

If driving, stop at Shakespeare Brewing company in Shakespeare, ON -- very friendly and good beer.

Re: New Glarus beers?

New Glarus is incredible. First drank them when they were available in Buffalo in the late 90's. Since then unfortunately, they decided that they would only distribute to within Wisconsin. I've driven to Wisconsin several times to bring back kegs of Raspberry Tart, Belgian Red and Serendipity. Serve...

The monarch tavern is hosting an election night party with Canadaland. Sound like it should be fun. http://www.themonarchtavern.com/event/c ... ce_id=3793

Re: Summerhill Growler/Craft Beer Destination Store

Yeah, my fear is that the LCBO will use the "beer in grocery stores" as an excuse to diminish it's beer line up even before the first bottle hits the shelves in the grocery stores ...

Beer from thin air...

Well, not really all the beer, but the water is harvested from fog.... Very neat... Nothing in the article says if the beer is any good!

Says great things about the brewing industry in Ontario that there are a couple dozen brewers within 100 minutes of C'est What!

You can make the forum display in the reverse of the normal order (newest post on top of first page) by going into your profile, then under board preferences > Edit Display options and set the post to a "descending" order by post time

Re: Welcome to the new Forum!

Links used to open in a new window. I tried a couple tonight, and they opened in the same window, so I "left" the forum. Is there a setting for this? Much prefer links opening in new windows. Evidently this was eliminated with phpbb3 from phpbb2 (the old forum) due to wanting to make the ...
