Re: 2020-2021 Winter Season at the LCBO
I've never seen BCBS sitting around at 9 bucks either. The last time I saw some on shelves it was $18 US, but I think they've ramped up production since then. I've never seen the variants just sitting around. I was in Florida December 2018 and I saw quite a few of the variants sitting on shelves. R...

Re: Rhino clearout
I grabbed a few Fuller's vintage from 2006-2010, Thomas Hardy's, mikeller barrel aged black, and brewdog tactical nuclear penguin as well as sink the Bismark. It was pretty great for them to clear out all of this stuff

Recipe hasn't been decided yet.sofakingdrunk wrote:Glad that the Henderson Stout is back, I thought that was really quite good. Interesting that Fracture seems to be listed as cheaper than in other years??Hopefully that doesn’t mean they’ve lessened the hops in it.

Re: Modern trends
Good theories,. But most breweries I imagine had lagers in the tanks before the shutdown happened. The cerveza at my brewery was pilot batched last year for LCBO submission for this summer. I couldn't tell you why so many breweries have them this year though.

Re: Barncat Artisan Ales, Cambridge
The other thing to note, is that a crowler is not like a regular can off a canning line. They do not have the same shelf life because there is a higher risk of oxygen getting in. Possibly why it's drinking differently is a bit of good oxidation

Closest thing of note would be the aviary. It's longslice's brewpub. (though they don't brew onsite yet)

I blame poor promotion and marketing. I enjoy stone still but I didn't hear of this event until 8pm last night.

Funny it suggests drinking it within 1 year of the enjoy after date. Good old lcbo. Stone enjoy after 7-4-16 Brett IPA Interesting, this beer was released on May 30, 2015, according to Stone. http://www.stonebrewing.com/beer/stone-enjoy-after-brett-ipa/stone-enjoy-after-070416-brett-ipa I always th...

Re: The Ontario Craft Beer Guide 2
I was under the impression their "rankings" were based on ratebeer ratings or whatever, which would make them actually kind of make sense. But I guess they're not? Lame. I trust the authors over ratebeer. Regardless of the "top brewery" list, which I think is silly but I know wh...

Re: Red Thread Brewing
They don't sound like a contract brewery if they are barrel ageing.
I guess their lager is done by someone, and their "lactose orange stout" is done by them on a smaller system?

Re: Any Ontario "nitro" stouts or esb's out there?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but any stout can be a nitro stout if it is poured through a nitro tap.
