My only gripe from today had nothing to do with Ralph or the event...there were several folks who showed up about 11:30 who, rather than do the polite thing and join the back of the line, joined friends who were about twenty from the front. Whoever you people were it was pretty disrespectful to tho...

As of 2:30 PM or so today, there were still tickets available for most of the sessions. I believe Saturday afternoon was the only one completely sold out (except for a couple of the brunch-inclusive ones). So those who couldn't make it today should still be able to get tickets for at least the next...

Come on kids, I was 25 minutes early for tickets last year and was 15th in line. I got all the tickets I needed and got to sample a few pints right afterwards. Two guys ended up bailing on me and I posted the extra tickets for sale on this site with NO takers. Suck it up. Just to clarify, I was una...

I've never been mostly because I can never get tickets fast enough. How's about a little elbow room for the newbies that never get a shot at tckets? Come on kids, I was 25 minutes early for tickets last year and was 15th in line. I got all the tickets I needed and got to sample a few pints right af...

Beer Fridge

Thanks for all the advice on the beer fridge dilemma. I've found the perfect one (for me).

It's like a wine cooler but listed as a beverage cooler.[/url]

I got it for $289 and it's swee-e-e-et!

So, whoa! Yes, thanks for all the massive help. I have come across a bear that satisfied the Carlingite: Golden Horseshoe. Thanks to The_Jester, detritus and flip for the suggestion, but I tried the Mill Street Stock Ale and failed to disguise the "ale" part and it threw him off. What a gr...

Colin @ Smokeless wrote: Or better yet, pick them up one of those Discovery packs at the LCBO which is a taster box of Ontario Craft beer.
Yes, good idea. Six transitional beers in one box.
I'm also going to get him the Brickman Pilsner and the Trailhead.

Re: Converting the Unbelievers

Did he give any particular reasons for not enjoying the King and St. Andres? That might help us to diagnose his condition. -Josh Perhaps he wasn't used to it, he's not a fan of cream ales, but--I don't know why he wouldn't like the King or St. Andre's, I bought those two specifically because I thou...

Denison's wheat beer is getting better known and is always good tohave the wheat beer option, not sure where it's being made though.
Ooo, good point, Lagerale, most establishments within my stumbling range offer at least one wheat beer.

Converting the Unbelievers

I am (slowly) converting two people to the fine offerings from the pleasantry of Ontario craft beers. One was/is a Carling (or some cheap beer) drinker, and the other a recovering Keiths addict. "Just say, 'Nay!'" I tell them, "to the world of MolBats. You must first repent and admit ...

Guinness is a must, as is a cider. The pubs in my 'hood tell me that those are their best sellers. Millstone sells well in my local as does Amsterdam Blond and Wellington County Ale or SPA. I really like the Creemore Pil that's on tap at another place. Probably has to build up a customer base and fi...

I haven't been to Feather's in ages--like over 15 years. I used to live in the Beach back then.

Good Eats

Tonight I made Feather's Wellington Duke Steak Pie. It's a recipe from the OCB web site. Holy crap was it good! I had a party of 10 coming for dinner today, so I had to double the recipe amounts to accommodate that number. Iron Duke is used in the recipe and I decided that (obviously) it would do to...
