Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). The JR Brickman Pilsner is questionable to me since there are so few beers I find literally unpalatable (the word 'soapy' comes to mind.) I don't know. I didn't mind it too much most times I've had it. The biggest problem i had in a couple bottles was there was tonnes of diacetyl -- i like buttered...

I rather enjoyed the Plowman's Ale (from Granite?)
and the Traditional English Dark Ale (even though I don't usually drink Hockley's beer).

Ah, such fine beer. I sampled eight different taps. A fabulous Saturday evening, I must say.

Honestly, this is a bad scene. I'd hate to see these two tickets go to waste.

Let's make a deal:

Chistalmighty!

I've just now had another guy cancel--something about throwing-up everywhere.

Anyway, that leaves me with TWO extra tickets for tonight's session.

Hurry, time's a ticking....

Sat. Eve Cask Day ticket

I also inexplicably have one extra ticket for the Saturday Evening session. If the previous ticket isn't gone yet, perhaps my extra could be combined for a pair.

PM me quickly.

Two Fisted Stout

My local pub no longer serves Mill St. Cobblestone. In its place, they now provide for our drinking pleasure Amsterdam's Two Fisted Stout.

I rather enjoyed it.

Oh, and denguy, do you know how difficult it is just to get the brewers to do a cask for one weekend. To get them to stretch it over 2 weekends I'm afraid would never happen. Sad but true!!! I see. Ya, I was just thinking out loud. On the sample size issue: last year I had small samples and doubled...

I arrived with a friend early enough to be 15th in line. Together we bought 9 tickets, we had out-of-town friends to accommodate (you're welcome Andicus--now go and change your armour). Most of the people in line around me were only buying what they needed. I didn't hear from anyone buying six ticke...

Well now, Pootz, I'll just have to go out and get the Durham Signature Ale for an assessment of my own.

I rather agree, and I believe everyone in my neighbourhood must also agree since the LCBO here can seem to keep it in stock.

Draught gone missing

Two of my local pubs have stopped serving Mill Street Tankhouse on tap (at all, actually). Both of the managers (as I have enquired) stated "asshole rep" as the reason for the cessation. What kind of crap is this? Honestly. One of the aforementioned managers told me that they would never d...
