Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Re: beer (alcohol) and health

https://x.com/BrandonLuuMD/status/1901589082574057893 scientific journals tell you the same as the ancient philosophers: Drink in moderation. The source I posted a link to says even one BINGE drinking session causes near instant inflammation to the body. The body hates inflammation as study and Doc...

Re: beer (alcohol) and health

Athletic Upside Dawn is 45 calories per can. I believe the ABV is around 0.3%.

And as NA beers go, tastes decent and is refreshing.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Don’t imbibe very often these days, but recently had the 2024 Fuller’s Vintage Ale and thought it was perhaps the best edition in many years (although I can’t recall whether I’ve had it every year). It is a true winter warmer and is somewhat reminiscent of what Fuller’s 1845 was like.

Re: Ratebeer shutting down

Nothing surprises me anymore, and neither does this. This post in the announcement thread struck a chord, but ABI doesn't own Bar Towel so we're still going! RIP RateBeer. RIP Old School Internet RIP Old School Craft Beer Community (Communities) RIP Craft Beer Nostalgia I didn’t pay close attention...

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer

I noticed that Athletic's pricing on their own website is significantly higher than retail pricing, even some 3rd party online retailers. LCBO has Run Wild for $13.95 but their 6-packs run $17-18 from them directly. I'd order more often if the pricing was close to retail, since they have a lot more...

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer

Anyone tried Go Brewing Not just another story DIPA? I’ve read some glowing reviews that seem to imply that by attempting to make an NA double, they’ve at least managed to make something that smells and tastes like an IPA. Athletic’s dark&gourdy and stump jump are available now, I enjoyed both l...

Re: Non-Alcoholic Beer

Sorry for the multiple messages...forget how these message boards work, lol. On the NOLO fest, I thought Jazz Dance was mediocre. It was tasty, but had that lemony taste that a LOT of non-alcoholic IPAs have and starts to feel generic over time. I've tried probably about 300 NA beers, and have anot...

There's already 3-4 comments in this thread about how good Jazz Hands is. I sought supplementary opinions with a sincere intention to reach a consensus on the product’s merits. If my actions inadvertently breached any social conventions, I extend my heartfelt apologies. um, ok. I just thought maybe...
