Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I'm skeptical, but we'll have to wait and see.
I assumed this would just be sold in their retail store and not the LCBO. I may be wrong though...
Check out the name of this thread...

LAKE OF MUSKOKA DETOUR huh? Ins't this simply Muskoka Detour? Or did they change their branding again... I believe Muskoka's legal name is Lakes of Muskoka Cottage Brewery. They've dropped the "Lakes of" and "Cottage" from their branding over the years, but they're likely still ...

Amsterdam Dinner @ The Saint - Feb 20th

Jesse Vallins - current chef at The Saint on Ossington, formerly at beerbistro and Trevor, and an old school Bar Toweller (Kid Presentable, for you old timers...) - has asked me to pass along word of a beer dinner that he is presenting on Thursday February 20th. Feature brewery is Amsterdam, and if ...

isn't Kasteel 11% ABV? As I noted above, this was a quick cut & paste from the LCBO-provide spreadsheet, which sometimes has mistakes or typos. I'll do some double checking and clean it up soon. UPDATE: Given that the overall theme of this release is supposed to be "hoppy & sour beers&...

Being in Ottawa, this feature excites me exactly none. I will likely get to try all of these as they will be on tap around town, but I won't be shelling out any money at the BO for them. That's assuming these beers are going to be available on tap, of course. I wouldn't be surprised if they were ke...

Thanks, cratez. Someone else DMed me the same letter, but before I could follow up, the media invite for the tasting came out with the list.

I've started the new "official" thread for the release - http://www.bartowel.com/board/viewtopic.php?p=130305 - and will lock this one now.

Not yet. And the beer category manager at the LCBO recently left, so I'm not sure who to contact there to get this info.

I'll hit a few other folks I know there and see if I can find out anything...

Wasn't the Perth brewery a former BYO? Yes. I believe the BYO operation is still running, but they also launched a commercial brewery last year. And in response to BlackRedGold - While I can't comment on the quality as I've not tried any Perth beers, they've been brewing more than just macro-clones...

The Moose is the obvious one, but I was also ...
