I agree completely. I really can't recall a better British beer available in Ontario than the 1845. It's delicious stuff, which will no doubt vanish from the shelves now you and Beaumont have let the cat out of the bag...

So Greene King brew a special competition beer and enter it under the same name as a quite different regular beer. After the results, they'll doubtless plaster their pubs with posters proclaiming that their IPA won second prize in the GBBF. I wonder if the Trade Descriptions Act covers this kind of ...

Well I have no experience with the other two, but I'm very familiar indeed with the Greene King IPA, and it's nothing to write home about at all. Either it's improved dramatically since my last pint 6 months ago, or most of the other brewers in the country have gone out of business.
