I love the sarcasm! I had a Xingu aged three years the other day and it tasted great. So, I don't see why it would not last 5 to 10 years. Heck, I still have several bottles of Black Oak's 10 Bitter Years from the first year it was produced and a DIPA is likely not the best aging beer either. I had ...

Xingu on tap... in Toronto!

I was at Sin and Redemption on Tuesday and they just kegged this Brazilian black lager. It's not even on their beer menu yet. As far as I know, this is the first appearance of Xingu in Canada. I don't understand why it's rated so low on RateBeer... I love this brew! I drink it in copious quantities ...

Rob had a soft opening last night around 5pm. Nice looking place. Good tap lineup and bottle selection. Food was good too.

They finally managed to pry open the patio doors and setup tables for us.

All around, a good time.

Congrats Rob!

The best cure for me is to sweat it out and start drinking again (not necessarily in that order). I have the usual... Advil, loads of coffee, water, Gatorade, breakfast. I'm surprised no one mentioned tomato juice or V8... these hit the spot. Then, regardless of how rough you feel or how awful the t...

Just picked up a bottle of the Var Triple and the Julebry at the Hwy 7 and Woodbine store yesterday. They still have a bunch of each left. Picked up a bottle of the other three at the AOB store on Thursday. I have the whole set... woohoo! 8) I'm still heart-broken for not winning a Utopias though.

When I was with F&M, Michelle called me and said she was lying in bed enjoying a keggy of StoneHammer Dark. I love calls like that. What a great business. 8) More importantly, what does she look like? Actually, Michelle is a very attractive women with a down to earth personality and a killer bo...

I'm currently making my second loaf of pumpkin bread (in the breadmaker that is) and will be enjoying it as toast in the mornings with my pumpkin flavoured coffee. Then I'll enjoy a slice of pumpkin pie or pumpkin muffins my wife just made. Oh and later, I'll be sipping some Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale ...

Even though their menu says they have a special lineup of Octoberfest inspired beer, the Paulaner they are serving is the Lager. And sad news... Once the current keg of Erdinger Dunkel is finished, they will no longer be serving it. They will continue serving the Erdinger Wheat, but not the Dunkel. ...

I was at the Griffin Gastropub last Thursday with my wife. The food was excellent (had a buffalo burger) and the beer taps and bottles were all craft brews. I enjoyed Muskoka Wheat, Black Oak Nut Brown and Flying Monkeys Hoptical Illusion, all on tap! At 9pm, the owners Jed and Kurt, entertained the...

It's on tap at the Corner Restaurant at the North East side of Jarvis and Front Street. You get a nice view of the St. Lawrence Market from their patio. This place has other craft brews on tap as well; nothing spectacular though. It's also on tap two doors down at a place called The Jason George (10...

I'm planning on enjoying the McAuslan Vintage Millenium 2000 next year. I'm still loving the Douglas Scotch Ales I purchased from Esprit many years ago. As others, I have a bunch of barley wines I'm aging (Old Crustacean, Mill Street), and some stouts and porters (Tsarina Katarina, Black Oak Double ...
