There are a lot of over hyped beer events I'm sure, DLD is not one of them. It deserves all the hype it gets. If you don't enjoy being around enthusiastic beer lovers who share beer from all over the world, being able to get a wide range of interesting brews on tap (in 9 or 16 oz servings), or gener...

We selected the ~$9 shipping option, and it allowed checkout. "International" was about $50, which I chose to hope meant overseas. Haven't got tickets yet but I'm not too worried as worst case they'll do will call or something.

We'll be making it out again this year, snagged a pair of group A so I imagine my afternoon nap will come even earlier this year. It was a riot last year, and everyone really thought the BNL Choc Stout I brought was amazing, which gave me some pride as the beers being poured alongside it were heavyw...

Based upon how fast it sold out, and the number of people who got shut out, I think one can only hope they realize the popularity of releases like this and limit the allotment per person in the future. It's common practice at a lot of other breweries, to ensure more beer gets into more peoples' hand...

St. Agur is definitely one of the best blue cheeses, period. Ossau-iraty is a good cheese, similar to a gouda/Swiss hybrid but that description doesn't do it justice. Highland Chief cheddar with Irish whisky is fantastic as well. I get these from Mickey McGuire's at St. Jacobs market, or Vincenzo's ...

I'll be going to DLD too, group B, first time. Pretty excited to go, less excited about how much $$ I'll blow in a day, but such is life!

... they are so close to us that we should really be getting some 3F or Bells. Considering 3F barely satiates their current (limited) market, we really shouldn't be getting any of their beer for a while. No reason why the LCBO hasn't brought in Bell's though, a fantastic brewery with a large capaci...

A few months ago when it was in stock at a lot of places The LCBO had it stocked on shelves under fluorescent light. I heard of more than a few people purchasing skunked bottles due to the oxidation through the green glass. Waterloo South has one of their imported craft beer islands directly under ...

... 2. Breakfast - fantastic beer, and while I technically love all those flavours together, I always feel conflicted with coffee stouts and porters, as I rarely want to consume something coffee-flavoured in the evening . It's just my brain confused, I think. ... You're missing the key information ...

Just picked up some Dirty and Backwoods Bastard and Porter at Waterloo South. Currently only the Dirty Bastard is on the floor, and none are showing inventory. Strongly suggest anyone looking for this to contact a store that usually gets the features and see if it's in.

6 pack of breakfast stout! Sweet. (Normally a 4 pack) I think they recently changed Breakfast Stout to 4 packs. So it's not an Ontario-specific thing. i think you meant to say they recently changed it to a 6 pack, and yeah, you're right. they announced sometime last year that it'd be in 6 packs whe...

The biggest issue is that many people who are not as "into" the beer scene as those on this website, are the ones that may not know the difference between Blue Moon or Coors. That doesn't make them stupid, it's precisely what marketing is designed for. We can say that doesn't matter, buy i...
