Re: What're you drinking right now?
Prize Old Ale (2001) It's a bottle-conditioned old age from 2001. They have these all over Rochester, NY right now in various vintages (2001-2010) for about $5 to $6.
This one has no carbonation, and very port-like. Strong fig/date/raisin aroma taste. Goes down really smooth.

Sierra Nevada Kellerweis Ommegang Three Philosophers I'm in Rochester, NY, at the moment, and there's a bar that has pints of Three Philosophers for $5 USD (3.25 for a half pint). I have found heaven, and her name is Half-Pint. Sure, you get it in a normal pint glass rather than a fancy goblet/tulip...

Princess Wears Girl Pants on tap at Indie Alehouse. Belgian Golden Ale? 9% ABV. Delicious, strong, yet not overpowering. Not as sweet as most belgians, which is a plus here, and not as malty as one would expect. Highly recommended.

Re: Random Reviews
Bar Towellers (and Towelletes), I am looking for something malty this evening from the LCBO. A nice malt-forward local beer with some thickness and creaminess. Maybe something along the lines of Bell City's Eureka?

Unibroue Bad Batch
I purchased a bottle of Unibroue's Grand Reserve 17 over Christmas from the LCBO. It was the 2014 release, and I was pretty excited. I love Unibroue's beers and always look forward to GR 17's release. Unfortunately, the bottle was ruined. It tasted "unripe", and almost vinegar-y. Not at al...

Bell's Brewery: Third Coast Old Ale (Barleywine?) Stop what you are drinking. This is better. Smooth, velvety, and thick. A nice dose of maltiness with just enough booze to make you aware of its 10.2% ABV. I picked up a bottle at AJ's Beer Warehouse in Rochester, NY, along with 5 other singles (Omme...

Saw this the other day at my TBS along with the Witte http://www.thebeerstore.ca/beers/mons-abbey-blonde Anyone tried it? It won't blow your mind, but for the price it's an ok Belgian-style blonde. Not as good as Unibroue's offerings of that tilt, but I liked it more than Affligem/Leffe-type stuff,...

I would like a unique Unibroue: GTA only
I now live in Rochester, NY, but drive back to T.O every now and then. In Rochester, they have a store called Beers of the World. This store has almost everything (minus special edition rare beers). I'm willing to trade something you can't find in Toronto for a Unibroue I can't get outside of Quebec...

Beau's Opa Gose Damn good beer. Reminds me of a La Fin Du Monde, but not as strong nor as sweet. Exactly what I wished La Fin du Monde was during the summer heat. Maple Leaf Lager I saw this 500ml bottle at the LCBO all by itself, so I picked it up. Long story short, it sucked. Kinda skunky, kinda ...
