Re: Craft Brewers Conference 2015 - Portland, Oregon

So I'll be in DC the same week as the Craft Brewers Conference. Anyone who has been to the conference... comments on how good/bad the situation will be for a non-industry guy like me at any of the big DC beer venues that week? In other words, will a place like Churchkey end up closed to the public ...

Re: Buffalo NY - what to see and explore?

Thin Man Brewing (Mike Shatzel's brewery) opened up. i don't think they're brewing in house just yet, but that's not that far away. Thanks for noticing! Restaurant is in the soft opening phase right now - hoping to have regular hours by early next week. We are hoping to have house beers by late sum...

And also, I don't know if it has flown under the radar, but check out Gene McCarthy's/Old First Ward Brewing @ 73 Hamburg Street. Small brewpub not far from the hockey arena that is making solid to great beer. Their "Not A Pale Ale" Pale Ale is freaking killer.

Hennepin is a pretty indestructible beer. I wouldn't worry too much if it's been sitting in a warehouse for a while.

Re: Bellwoods in the US

LOTS of Ontario Breweries are about to jump into the WNY Market. The number that are taking the plunge at once is kind of shocking. Okay, but that still doesn't answer my question regarding which states carry Flying Monkeys products. Also, any official confirmation/announcement from the Ontario bre...

4. It was originally Buffalo, not us, that was supposed to get Zwanze Day. I can't stress that enough. A random conversation w/Jean may have helped to sway us in getting it over Buffalo. Or it could be that Shelton Brothers, being Shelton Brothers, decided to not sell beer anywhere in NY state asid...

Looks like I'm heading down in November. Anybody recommend anywhere decent to get bottles? Just came back from Pittsburgh two days ago. Is this $23 beer harder to get than the westy 12? (worldwide, not just ontario) I'm surprised at all of the commotion over it I'm pretty sure that yes, it is harder to get than westy 12. As far as I know this was a one time thing resulting in a limited number of bottles. Westy doesn't distribute bu...
