I separate bottles that would/could have been purchased from the Beer Store (and group beer bottles that are from the same brewer/brand), from stuff purchased at the LCBO (whether they are beer bottles, wine bottles, or whatever) to make it clear where they came from, and I tell them the quantities ...

Hawai'i brewpubs or micros
Any recommendations for the islands of Hawai'i?
I know of Kona Brewing in Kailua-Kona (Big Island), but will be spending most of my time in Honolulu (Oahu) visiting family, so am curious to see what else local I can sample, either in pubs or from the local grocery store.

I've seen that chart also, but speaking for my own time spent in Sydney / New South Wales, Melbourne / Victoria, and Adelaide / South Australia, in most places, it is usually just the 10 oz pot, the 15 oz schooner, and sometimes the 20 oz pint. I never encountered the 10 oz in Sydney or elsewhere in...

I concur with the prices there being way too high compared to other beer bars around town. I also think they need to expand their draft list a bit, and actually make use of their cask pump, which just sits there unused most of the time. While I love the mussels there (possibly the best in town?), I ...

The article notes it's $1000 a WEEK, not month. So 2500 beer bottles in a month is more like $4000+ which makes a bit more sense. Standard bottles in Australia are 300-341 mL, depending on the brewery (and some brewers still use stubbies there!). Beer on draft in most of Australia is traditionally o...

Although I'm in downtown Toronto and fairly close to one of the major stores where they pretty much have everything current in stock, for anyone else elsewhere in the province, is there a central phone number or e-mail address where you could complain that your nearest location isn't bringing in the...

I agree that when you compare UK imports, it is cheaper here in Ontario than in the U.S. Comparing local micros vs. local micros, because of lower excise taxes, I can go into a supermarket in Massachusetts and definitely get a 6 pack from a local New England microbrewery (~$9) for less than when I'm...
