In my unprofessional opinion, rural areas with no brewery or brewpub could still be a successful... but, anyone planning to enter an urban centre like Toronto or Ottawa should quadruple-think it right now.

Things are TIGHT right now.

Recently the OCB informed us that they do not count contract brewers or brewpubs as breweries.

BTW, I first found out about Bamboo Beer from the Beer Manufacturers/Microbrewers and Brands List. THey are listed as a Microbrewer:
