Re: Montreal

Has anyone here ever been to the Mondiale de la Biere festival in Montreal? It's coming up May 22-25, 2019. https://festivalmondialbiere.qc.ca/en/ Looking it over, I'm skeptical of it being anything special. I have been several times but haven't been recently. Our usual approach to it was to try an...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Do bars ever hoard kegs like that? I'd think they mostly want to turn stuff over quickly.

LTM Baltic Porter that's been in the cellar since 2013. Held up beautifully. So good.

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

I had a 2006 Poggiotondo Brunello di Montalcino and I liked it a lot. Oodles of that dark cherry flavour. Looks like the BO has like two bottles of the 2013 version of this and that's it. Shame, it's worth the 35 bucks.

Re: Post Game Brewing?????

Wellington is brewing for NB now? Do't NB have two physical breweries of their own?

Yup, they took that away again. Last time they caved and brought it back, so complain to them if you want it.

Vintages and food and drink sites still have the search all stores.

Re: lcboapi.com and drinkvine.com

Pretty likely. The way this thing works it is pretty susceptible to breaking when the LCBO update their site.

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I'm pretty lukewarm on the Boulevard stout too. I mean, it's fine. It's just kinda boring for an 11.8% barrel aged stout. The Butte is worth twice the money to me, because when I have a beer like that it's supposed to be a treat and I want to get the most out of it. The thing that really holds me ba...

http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo/product/tawse-limestone-ridge-north-estate-bottled-riesling-2016/431593 Tawse Limestone Ridge North Riesling. This is an off-dry from Niagara, and it's about the best Ontario wine I've ever had. Very fresh tasting with lots and lots of citrus with a distinct minerality, this...

I'd have no trouble at all going through 6 fresh grapefruit Sculpins. Very good beer.

Re: Collective Arts

What does sour beer have to do with hipsters?

Keeping Brett contained is notoriously difficult, even for the big brewers. That whole condescending post was pretty off-base.

Re: lcboapi.com and drinkvine.com

I was actually asking just because if it were dockerized you could push updates to a registry (ecr) and let ecs just magically update itself. Plus then it's easy for someone else (me) to pay the hosting.

But free works too, of course.

How's it implemented? Is it dockerized? Could we just toss it on AWS?

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Radical.

Honestly though, that IPA has been out for a bit now. I had one on the weekend and it was good, but not quite what it was fresh.
