Re: Cantillon Gueuze Lambic

If you got the pickup email, it's probably in your local BO waiting for you. That's what happened to me, though they sent the wrong amounts of things. I'd go in and see, if you still want the Loons.

Re: Cantillon Gueuze Lambic

Did anyone get any Cantillon Gueuze Lambic that was available on lcbo.com? I put in an order back when it was announced, bought two bottles and now I got an email from the LCBO that I'm not getting any bottles of it. I ordered 2 bottles, plus an Oxbow Crossfade to get to the $50 to make the order. ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Cascade almost always comes across that way to me. Aggressively sour, but in a clean way compared to other brewers. I tend to like that a little less, but I can respect it was their intention to make it that way and it obviously works for lots of other people.

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

Go to the winery! When I went, they were one of the few places that would let you sample some of their more expensive bottles. I tried all the $60 bottles, then bought a $30 bottle and the samples were free.

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

I had a 2010 Kacaba Syrah last night. I didn't take detailed notes, but it did nothing but reaffirm my belief that they make the best Red in Ontario.

Ritterguts! I'm gonna drink loads of that.

Nice to see stuff from Deschutes and Cigar City, even if they're not styles I personally go for.

Re: Montreal

Has anyone here ever been to the Mondiale de la Biere festival in Montreal? It's coming up May 22-25, 2019. https://festivalmondialbiere.qc.ca/en/ Looking it over, I'm skeptical of it being anything special. I have been several times but haven't been recently. Our usual approach to it was to try an...

Re: Bellwoods Brewery

Do bars ever hoard kegs like that? I'd think they mostly want to turn stuff over quickly.

LTM Baltic Porter that's been in the cellar since 2013. Held up beautifully. So good.

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

I had a 2006 Poggiotondo Brunello di Montalcino and I liked it a lot. Oodles of that dark cherry flavour. Looks like the BO has like two bottles of the 2013 version of this and that's it. Shame, it's worth the 35 bucks.

Wellington is brewing for NB now? Do't NB have two physical breweries of their own?

Yup, they took that away again. Last time they caved and brought it back, so complain to them if you want it.

Vintages and food and drink sites still have the search all stores.

Re: lcboapi.com and drinkvine.com

Pretty likely. The way this thing works it is pretty susceptible to breaking when the LCBO update their site.
